Donald James Carpenter was born Oct. 26, 1919 to Ernest Frank and Hilda M. Schmitz Carpenter. He died Nov. 27, 1942 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Earlville, IA.

Pvt. Carpenter served in World War II with the U.S. Army 126th Infantry, 32nd Division and died of wounds received in action in New Guinea.

Clarence William Clemen was born July 2, 1919 to Henry C. and Anna Kohnen Clemen. He died Nov. 25, 1943 (at sea) and is memorialized in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, IA and also at the Courts of the Missing, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Petty Officer Clemen served with the U.S. Navy in World War II aboard the USS Liscombe Bay (CVE-56) and was lost in the sinking of that vessel. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Herbert Boone Cox was born May 24, 1920 to Clarence R. and Ruby I. Boone Cox. He died Apr. 21, 2003 and is buried in Clovis Cemetery, Clovis, CA. 

Ens. Cox served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
