Pvt. Beardsley served in World War II with the U.S. Army 346th Infantry Regiment, 87th Infantry Division and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Luther Marion Bennett was born Aug. 4, 1920 to Luther J. and Goldie Lavern Phipps Bennett. He died Oct. 6, 1944 and is buried in Leon Cemetery, Leon, IA.

Pvt. Bennett served in World War II with the U.S. Army and was KIA in Holland.

Roland Duane Bergman was born Aug. 17, 1920 to John Henry and Clara Theresa Johnson Bergman. He died Dec. 18, 1944 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, IA.

Sgt. Bergman served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 347th Bomb Squadron, 99th Bomb Group, 15th Air Force and was KIA in the Czech Republic.

Maurice Leland Blair was born June 9, 1914 to Arthur Eugene and Ethel Grace King Blair. He died Sept. 21, 1944 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

2nd Lt. Blair served in World War II with the U.S. Army 28th Infantry Regiment, 8th Division and was KIA and returned to the U.S. in 1948.

Kenneth Hartwig Bolie was born July 19, 1921 to Christian and Ruth Wilson Bolie. He died Oct. 29, 2007 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Sgt. Bolie served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
