Roy Earl Wallman was born about 1915 to Henry H. and Eva Celia Witte Wallman. He died July 26, 1944 and is buried in Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.

Sgt. Wallman served in World War II with the U.S. Army 743rd Tank Battalion and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

Joseph Keller Ward was born Feb. 6, 1913 to Omer E. and Daisy Keller Ward. He died Apr. 11, 2002 and is buried in Troy Cemetery, Troy, IA.

Joseph served in World War II with the U.S. Navy Seabees.

Wilfred Clinton Watson was born about 1920 to Ralph L. and Leora Alice Park Watson. He died Oct. 21, 1943 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, East Coast Memorial, New York City, NY.

Petty Officer Watson served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Murphy (DD-603) which sank after a collision with the oil tanker S.S. Bulkoil off the coast of New Jersey.

William Herbert Weiny was born Apr. 2, 1907 to Frank E. and Ruth E. Dunn Weiny. He died July 20, 1984 and is buried in Glenrock Cemetery, Glenrock, WY.

Cpl. Weiny served in World War II with the U.S. Army 414th Infantry, 104th Division.

Harold Dale Weede was born Jan. 5, 1922 to Harry Arthur and Beulah Fawn Andrews Weede. He died Dec. 7, 1945 and is buried in National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii.

MSgt. Weede served in World War II with the U.S. Army 8th Air Force and died in Honolulu, Hawaii in a plane crash.

Fern C. “Red” Wells was born Feb. 24, 1909 to Nile Clay and Sylvia M. Bingaman Wells. He died Jan. 27, 2007 and is buried in Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, IA.

Red served in World War II with the U.S. Army 766th and 767th Tank Battalions.

Gilbert Henry Whisler was born May 22, 1911 to James T. and Edith Frances Cox Whisler. He died Dec. 7, 1941 and is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii and memorialized at the USS Arizona Memorial, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He was initially buried in Halawa Naval Cemetery, Oahu, Hawaii and returned to Honolulu in 1949.

Pvt. Whisler served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps with the Marine Detachment, USS Arizona (BB-39) and was killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Kenneth E. Wilcox was born Aug. 22, 1921 to Raymond and Edith Reiter Wilcox. He died Oct. 2, 1944 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.

1st Lt. Wilcox served in World War II with the U.S. Army 747th Tank Battalion and was KIA in Germany and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Max Wilkinson was born Sept. 25, 1916 to Everett L. and Minnie Vesta Pitcher Wilkinson. He died Jan. 12, 1990 and is buried in Shaul Cemetery, Ottumwa, IA.

Max served in World War II with the U.S. Army Detachment Quartermaster Section, Alaskan Dept., Adak, Alaska.

Walter Miles Wilkinson was born July 11, 1924 to Everett L. and Minnie Vesta Pitcher Wilkinson. He died Dec. 31, 1958 and is buried in Bloomfield IOOF Cemetery, Bloomfield, IA.

Sgt. Wilkinson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Transportation Corps.
