Donald Vance Ferris was born Feb. 6, 1921 to Merritt A. and Hettie Mae Ferris. He died Jan. 23, 1942 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 3, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and in Richland Cemetery, Scotland County, MO.

Petty Officer Ferris served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA while serving his country.
