Charles Orville Wells was born Aug. 1, 1908 to Charles Hardy and Minnie Gordon Wells. He died Feb. 29, 1952 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche, IA.

Petty Officer Wells served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Indianapolis (CA-35) and was a survivor of the sinking of that ship on July 30, 1945.

Paul Linwood Wernick was born Jan. 21, 1921 to Wesley and Mary E. Meyers Wernick. He died May 10, 1945 and is buried in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL.

Sgt. Wernick served in World War II with the U.S. Army 382nd Infantry.

Gale S. White was born July 21, 1912 to Robert A. and Clarice Estella Fuller White. He died July 27, 1944 and is buried in Springdale Cemetery, Clinton, IA. Pvt. White served in World War II with the U.S. Army 120th Infantry, 30th Division.

Charles Franklin Widener was born Aug. 29, 1919 to Elijah Johnathan and Cindarella McVey Widener. He died July 22, 1973 and is buried in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton, IA.

Charles served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Robert Francis Wolfe was born Oct. 25, 1921 to John Loyola and Mary C. Kane Wolfe. He died Mar. 9, 1943 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Clinton, IA.

Ens. Wolfe served in World War II with the U.S. Navy.

Lt. Wright served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Clarence Allen Wright was born June 13, 1915 to Charles and Myrtle Hawkins Wright. He died May 24, 1942.

1st Lt. Wright served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 10th Ferrying Squadron and died as the result of an airplane accident while in the line of duty.
