Charles Clifford Christiansen was born July 12, 1914 to John A. and Lillie W. Thede Christiansen. He died Oct. 8, 1980 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Clinton County, IA.

Dr. Christiansen served in World War II with the U.S. Army Medical Dept.

Russell Engwer Clausen was born Apr. 12, 1913 to Engwer N. and Wilhelmina M. Petersen Clausen. He died Mar. 6, 1945 and is buried in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton, IA.

Petty Officer Clausen served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and died in the service of his country on Iwo Jima.

Leonard Paul Collins was born Nov. 26, 1921 to Ernest Joseph and Eva Sophia Patry Collins. He died May 4, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 5, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Petty Officer Collins served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA/FOD/KIA in enemy action while in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Russell E. Cook was born July 16, 1907 to Charles Leslie and Edna LaFoy White Cook. He died Apr. 28, 1944 and is buried in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton, IA. 

Russell served with the U.S. Army 6th Reconnaissance Squadron in World War II. 


Richard Raymond Cosgrove was born Aug. 25, 1926 to Richard E. and Fannie Mae Carber Cosgrove. He died Feb. 17, 2002 and is buried in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton, IA.

Richard served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Asia-Pacific Theatre with the 54th Troop Carrier Squadron in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands.
