Coxswain Kann served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Starling (AM-64).

Carleton Edward Kenney was born May 25, 1914 to Klarence E. and Esther Winifred Laughlin Kenney. He died Dec. 24, 1943 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, England and in Postville Cemetery, Postville, IA.

Petty Officer Kenney served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Leary (DD-148) when it was hit by 3 torpedoes, fired by German submarine U-275, and sank in the North Atlantic. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Lt. Kneeland served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 500th Bomb Squadron, 345th Bomb Group and was MIA/KIA in the South Pacific as a navigator-bombardier in the “Apaches” with the Fifth Air Force. He was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.

Harold Frederick Knoke was born Aug. 20, 1915 to Fred Henry and Ella Friedricke Sophia Glawe Knoke. He died July 12, 2010 and is buried in Mount Harmony Cemetery, Elkport, IA.

Sgt. Knoke served in World War II with the U.S. Army Americal Infantry Division. He was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with two stars, WWII Victory Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal with one star. He was also the recipient of the Honorable Service Lapel Pin, commonly referred to as the Ruptured Duck.

Lloyd Woodrow Kottke was born Feb. 2, 1916 to William and Ella C. Kickbush Kottke. He died Feb. 21, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 3, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Saint Pauls Cemetery, Osterdock, IA.

Chief Petty Officer Kottke served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Bismarck (CVE-95) which was sunk off Iwo Jima. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

Otto Julius Arthur Krueger was born Feb. 11, 1912 to Henry Albert and Mary Pauline Heller Krueger. He died Nov. 14, 1944 and is buried in Saint Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Monona, IA.

Sgt. Krueger served in World War II with the U.S. Army 315th Infantry, 79th Infantry Division and died of wounds received in action in France.
