Bernard Leroy Yeager was born Sept. 1, 1920 to French and Rose Baschke Yeager. He died Oct. 7, 1943, was buried at sea, and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 2, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer, IA.
Petty Officer Yeager served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Concord (CL-10) and died in the performance of his duties aboard that ship.
