Lloyd Ward Waddingham was born Nov. 14, 1922 to Ralph J. and Minnie J. Hartwig Waddingham. He died Aug. 17, 1997 and is buried in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.

Sgt. Waddingham served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 5th Airways Communications Group and 68th Airways Communications System Squadron.

Mark Ray Wait was born Oct. 8, 1921 to Osgood and Maude Haviland Wait. He died Apr. 13, 1988 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Nashua, IA.

Pvt. Wait served in World War II with the U.S. Army 93rd Gun Battalion.

Arthur George “Bud” Walsh was born Nov. 6, 1922 to George J. and Mary K. Kraft Walsh. He died May 2, 2005 and is buried in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City, IA.

Pvt. Walsh served in World War II with the US. Army in Seoul, Korea.

Russell Burdell Warye was born June 18, 1914 to Lew W. and Hattie E. Tracy Warye. He died May 14, 2003 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

Col. Warye served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps at Guadalcanal.

James H. Watkins was born Dec. 17, 1923 to Clyde Ralph and Hazel R. Speedling Watkins. He died Feb. 26, 1987 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Nashua, IA.

James served in World War II with the U.S. Navy 111th, 96th and 29th Seabees.

Donald Edward Watts was born Aug. 17, 1920 to Ralph E. and Gladys Doris Cagley Watts. He died Mar. 2, 1974 and is buried in Johnson County Chapel and Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, KS.

Donald served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 73rd Bomb Squadron, 445th Bomb Group and became a POW.

Claude Leroy Wenthe was born Sept. 1, 1922 to Chris and Blanche Olander Wenthe. He died Oct. 25, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and has a cenotaph in Rose Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg, IA.

Petty Officer Wenthe served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS St. Lo (CVE-63) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when that vessel was sunk following a kamikaze attack in the Battle of Leyte Gulf off Samar. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Harvey E. Wilson, Jr. was born in 1921 and died Jan. 6, 1945 and is buried in Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg.

Pvt. Wilson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 347th Infantry Regiment, 87th Infantry Division and was KIA in Belgium and awarded the Purple Heart.
