Bernard Barr Padget was born Dec. 24, 1918 to Ernest Charles and Hazel Mae Barr Padget.

Petty Officer Padget served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Northampton (CA-26) when it was sunk in a battle with the Japanese near the Solomon Islands and he was rescued. He also served aboard the USS Daniel T. Griffin (DE-54).

Rex Roland Pierce was born Aug. 8, 1919 to Russell Harrison and Iowa Laurinda Badger Pierce. He died June 15, 2001 and is buried in Carl Cemetery, Carl, IA.

Rex served in World War II with the U.S. Army and was wounded on Attu in the Aleutian Islands. He was wounded in action a second time while serving in Okinawa, Japan.

Robert Allen Pierce was born July 12, 1917 to William Floyd and Charlotte M. Tucker Pierce. He died Mar. 23, 2002 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Nashua, IA.

Sgt. Pierce served in World War II with the U.S. Army Medical Detachment 168th Infantry Regiment, 34th Infantry Division.

Eugene Nafus Putney was born Sept. 15, 1916 to Truman Enis and Sara Nafus Putney.

Eugene served in World War II with the U.S. Coast Guard.
