Donald John “Don” Siegel was born Feb. 25, 1923 to Fred John and Emma Marie Specht Siegel. He died Mar. 8, 1979 and is buried in Memory Gardens, Cherokee, IA.

Don served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps in the European Theater. His son, David Douglas Siegel, died while serving with the 101st Airborne, Heavy Artillery in South Vietnam.

Beryl Dean Simmons was born Sept. 22, 1925 to Walter W. and Jessie F. Peters Simmons. He died June 21, 1998 and is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cherokee, IA.

Beryl served in World War II with the U.S. Navy.

Earl Dean “Dean” Simonsen was born Jan. 23, 1918 to Warren E. and Elma Judith Dean Simonsen. He did May 22, 1995 and is buried in Grandview Cemetery, Quimby, IA.

Dean served in World War II with the U.S. Army with the Veterinary Detachment.
