Emil Eldon Kluever was born Nov. 28, 1925 to Emil C. and Louise A. Lilienthal Kluever. He died Apr. 23, 2011 and is buried in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, NV.

Col. Kluever served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 2542nd Base Unit, Waco, TX. He also served in Korea and Vietnam.

He was awarded the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal. Air Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.
