Jack Ray Traner was born June 16, 1923 to Harold and Anna Goedert Traner. He died May 2, 2002 and is buried in Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, TX.

Jack served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Kenneth Henry “Ken” Tranter was born Sept. 6, 1924 to Joseph Arthur and Margaret Dorothy Goodman Tranter. He died Oct. 31, 2016 and is buried in Carroll City Cemetery, Carroll, IA.

Sgt. Tranter served in World War II with the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Air Corps. He took aerial gunnery training at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, FL and was assigned as an instructor teaching French and Chinese pilots. Ken was recalled to service in Korea, assigned to the 319th Bomb Squadron, 90th Air Wing in administration for 22 months.
