Vernon Albert Olson was born Mar. 9, 1921 to Albert R.and Lula H. Olson. He died Sept. 13, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, East Coast Memorial, New York, NY.

Petty Officer Olson served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Warrington (DD-383) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when that vessel sank in the Atlantic after steaming directly into a hurricane.
