Russell O. Miller was born Aug. 24, 1916 to Lee Roy and Olga P. McBride Miller. He died Dec. 9, 1944 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.

Cpl. Miller served in World War II with the U.S. Army 311th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

James Edwin Mittelstadt was born Jan. 13, 1926 to George Edwin and Grace Mary Hughes Mittelstadt. He died Sept. 28, 2018 and is buried in Storm Lake Cemetery, Storm Lake, IA. 

James served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a gunner on B-17 and B-29 bombers but was never sent overseas.

Raymond Harold “Ray” Mittelstadt was born Aug. 19, 1924 to Frank F. and Alma A. Meyer Mittelstadt. He died Nov. 30, 2018 and is buried in North Lawn Cemetery, Fort Dodge, IA. 

Ray served in World War II with the U.S. Army as a heavy artillery instructor and a glider pilot trainer.
