Joseph Gregory McAleer was born Mar. 12, 1912 to William and Mary Smith McAleer. He died Oct. 7, 1944 and is buried in Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial, Dinoze, France. 

Sgt. McAleer served in World War II with the U.S. Army 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Leo Francis Michael was born Dec. 11, 1918 to Frank and Rose Ann Miller Michael. He died Feb. 13, 2017 and is buried in Saint Johns Catholic Cemetery, Independence, IA. 

Leo served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 39th Bomb Squadron, 9th Training Command, Williams Field, AZ.

Glenn Allen Miller was born May 19, 1918 to Abram E. and Mildred Sanders Miller. He died Oct. 26, 1942 and is buried in Hazleton Cemetery, Hazleton, IA.

Petty Officer Miller served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and died while serving aboard the USS Porter (DD-356) when it was torpedoed ten days after the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands. He was MIA/FOD/KIA in the service of his country and was awarded the Purple Heart.
