Charles Edward Clark was born Dec. 21, 1914 to James G. and Florence Davis Clark. He died Oct. 21, 1943 and is buried in Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy and has a cenotaph in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly, IA.

Sgt. Clark served in World War II with the U.S. Army 133rd Infantry Regiment, 34th Infantry Division and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
