Harold John Ward was born Jan. 27, 1918 to William and Dora Ellen Poshby Ward. He died June 28, 1944 and is buried in Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.

Sgt. Ward served in World War II with the U.S. Army 401st Glider Infantry Regiment, 82nd “All American” Airborne Division and was KIA in France and awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
