Ernest Guy Keaton was born June 13 1921 to Ernest George and Muriel Carter Keaton. He died Sept. 24, 1944 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Centerville, IA.

Pvt. Keaton served in World War II with the U.S. Army 112th Infantry, 28th Infantry Division.

George Norvil Kennedy was born Nov. 6, 1923 to Norval Franklin and Margaret Lucretia Long Kennedy. He died Aug. 12, 1949 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Centerville, IA. 

Cpl. Kennedy served with the U.S. Marine Corps 1st Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division in World War II.

Jacob Donald Kensler was born Dec. 14, 1924 to Hugh F. and Hannah B. Kensler. He died Oct. 25, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and has a cenotaph in Highland Cemetery, Mystic, IA.

Petty Officer Kensler served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Samuel B. Roberts (DE-413) which was sunk in the Battle of Leyte Gulf. That ship was referred as the “destroyer escort that fought like a battleship”. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Ted Guy Knapp was born Feb. 19, 1903 to Mahlon Ulysses and Della Mae Stocker Knapp. He died June 22, 1949 and is buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL. 

Ted served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
