Darrel Burton Johnson was born Jan. 14, 1920 to Henry A. and Ada Marie Sellman Johnson.He died Jan. 17, 1945, was buried at sea, and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Lt. Johnson served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and died serving his country and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
