Leo Frederick Adolph Foels was born June 29, 1917 to Arthur H. and Elizabeth Wilke Foels. He died Dec. 23, 2000 and is buried in Postville Cemetery, Clayton County, IA.

Sgt. Foels served in World War II with the U.S. Army 826th Tank Destroyers, 30th Field Artillery and 826th Amphibian Tractor Battalion.

Donald Lee “Steve” Folsom was born Oct. 10, 1914 to Richard and Mabel Harris Folsom. He died Jan. 15, 2010 and is buried in Minert Cemetery, Postville, IA.

Steve served in World War II with the U.S. Army 760th and 75th Military Police Battalions.

John Francis Folsom was born June 20, 1926 to Austin and Anna Josephine Tarrant Folsom. He died Apr. 22, 2011 and is buried in Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines, IA.

John served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Frontier (AD-25), USS Blue Ridge (AGC-2), and USS Chilton (APA-38). Most of the time was spent transporting troops and supplies to Australia, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Philippines, Hawaiian Islands, China and Japan.

Lester Christopher Folsom was born Apr. 8, 1917 to Austin and Anna Josephine Tarrant Folsom. He died Sept. 10, 1998 in Westwood, MA.

Lester served in World War II with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific with the Second Marine Division.

Wayne G. “Bud” Folsom was born Nov. 2, 1922 to Gilbert and Flossie Belle Enyart Folsom. He died May 29, 2005 and is buried in Minert Cemetery, Postville, IA.

Sgt. Folsom served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He served in combat for 23 months, participating in campaigns in Tunisia, Sicily, and Naples-Foggia.

Earl served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 446th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force.
