Alto Edmond Dahlstrom was born Aug. 18, 1922 to Frank J. and Lillian Cordes Dahlstrom. He died Dec. 30, 1986 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Waukon, IA.

Pvt. Dahlstrom served in World War II with the U.S. Army in northern France and the Rhineland. He was awarded the Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars and the Good Conduct Medal.

Victor Maurice “Vic” Daman was born June 5, 1923 to Amos Edward and Ellen Agnes “Nellie” Clarke Daman. He died Nov. 25, 1945 and was initially buried in U.S. Navy and Marine Corps Cemetery 1, Betio Island, Tarawa Atoll and later reinterred in Lone Pine Cemetery, Betio Island before permanent burial (1949( in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Pvt. Daman served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and was KIA on the island of Tarawa in the South Pacific.

Marcellian Raymond Danaher was born July 9, 1905 to Thomas Anthony and Helene E. Swartzhoff Danaher. He died Dec. 17, 1965 and is buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Omaha, NE.

Sgt. Danaher served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 463rd Base Unit.

Thomas Anthony Danaher was born May 19, 1924 to Joseph Harold and Helen Elizabeth “Nell” Kelly Danaher. He died Jan. 10, 1984 and is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waukon, IA.

Thomas served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 325th Medical Bomb Group Training School.

Robert Darling was born June 4, 1927 to Lysander and Clara Myers Darling. He died May 15, 2017 and is buried in Strawberry Point Cemetery, Strawberry Point, IA.

Robert served in World War II with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater.

Donald James Davenport was born Nov. 28, 1922 to Chester B. and Amy Swenson Davenport. He died Apr. 26, 1995 and is buried in Fort Huachuca Cemetery, Sierra Vista, AZ.

Lt. Col. Davenport served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
