Direction to Eberly Cemetery
From Sioux City ( measured at the intersection of the bypass "I129" [that's Interstate 129] and US Hwy 20) it is a total of 6 miles to the cemetery. From Sioux City go East, on US Hwy 20, to the intersection of Charles Ave., which goes north to D18 or Correctionville Road, this road is curvy and a little hilly. Go east and you will see the cemetery on the north side of the road. DON'T BLINK, you will miss it. It is on a hill and a curve of the road. The total from Sioux City to the cemetery is again 6 miles. After you turn onto "D18" it is only 2.8 miles.
From Lawton going west on Hwy 20 turn north on Dallas Ave., then west on "D18" total from the west city limits of Lawton to the cemetery is 4 miles. After you turn on "D18" it is only 1.7 miles.

If you have a GPS try this address 7647 Correctionville Road, Lawton, Iowa. If you can put in Lat 42 degree 28.926 N, Long 96 degree 14.676 W. GPS showed a error of 6 feet.

Elizabethh R "Lizzie" Maxson Eberly originally buried here- moved to Graceland Cemetery, Sioux City- marker still there as it is shared with Elmer
 
Anna Rentel, is buried in the Eberly Cemetery but there is no marker and the understanding is the records were lost, either in a flood or fire. She was born in 1849 in Canton Bern, Switzerland. She died in childbirth during the 1st day of the infamous Blizzard of 1888. That would have been January 12, 1888. Her maiden name was Anna Keller and she lived in Kansas prior to about 1884. At the time of her death she lived on a farm with her husband Julius Rentel.
