This photo was taken circa 1885 by Benjamin Goldsberry. His subject is Edna Blackburn, the daughter of James Edwin & Flora (Kidder) Blackburn, and grandaughter of Elmer & Sarah Elvira (Marble) Kidder. She was born January 25, 1884 in Brooklyn, Schuyler Co, IL. It was most likely taken at the same time as the photo of her cousin, William Lee Ormsby as the setting in the photo is the same (note backdrop & throw on chair). Since the Blackburn family were residents of Schuyler county, IL in 1884 & Salina, Saline county, KS in 1889, they may have been visiting relatives in Bedford at the time of this photo. Edna was named after her Aunt Edna Rachel (Kidder) Ormsby.
