Herman O'Dell
roman riding on the "twins"
The story of the "twins": when the twin foals were born Lester told the kids that they should probably try to save the healthier one because a mare would seldom feed two. Helen and Herman knew that if he would let them, they could mix eggs and milk and feed the smaller one and it would live. It did, though never equal in size. These were the horses Helen and Herman grew up riding.
