Bissell, Raymond Virgil -

Funeral services for Raymond Virgil Bissell age 85, were held on September 21, 1999,

at 10:00 a.m. at the Ritchie Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Tim Maxa

officiating. Burial was held in the Summit Cemetery. Services were conducted by the

Ritchie Funeral Home of Creston.

Raymond Virgil Bissell, son of Arva and Pearl (Morgan) Bissell, was born September 4,

1914 in Mutual, Oklahoma. Raymond was raised in Massena, graduating from high school

there. In high school he met Theda Thompson. On June 1, 1936 Raymond and Theda were

united in marriage in Maryville, Mo. They were blessed with two children, Richard and Nancy.

Raymond was a farmer at heart from his teen years until his death. He quit working the

farm in 1997 when he and Theda moved to Creston, Iowa. Raymond also had been

employed by the Corning and Massena Sale Barns and was an Adams County Supervisor

for 10 years.

Raymond is survived by his wife Theda of Creston; son Richard and wife Connie Bissell

of Elkhart; daughter Nancy Freshour of Prescott; five grandchildren, Jacqi Reed,

Kyle and Kevin Freshour, Nicolee Rasmussen and Noelle Carroll; great-grandchildren,

Troy Reed, Crystal Reed, Dawn and Kisha Freshour and Taylor Rasmussen; four sisters,

Alma Schrader of Lenox, Florence James and Cleda Paul both of Corning and Iada

McKee of Massena; a special nephew, Kenneth and wife Mary Bissell of Creston.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Alva and Pearl; a son-in-law Clifford Freshour;

four brothers, Ansel, Huber, Claude and Ivan Bissell; and two sisters, Esther

Castel and Edna Scott.

Brott, Charlie Wesley -

Charlie Wesley Brott was born January 29, 1933 in Redding, Iowa to Grant Bernard

and Alma Lea Brott. He graduated from Clearfield High School in 1952. He then

served in the Army for two years from 1953 to 1955.

He was united in marriage to Charlene Marie Linkvis on June 8, 1952 at the

Clearfield Methodist Church. The couple was privileged to share 47 years together.

This marriage  was blessed with five children.

Charlie and Charlene farmed in the Clearfield area for approximately 45 years.

Charlie was a member of the Clearfield United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge,

Creston Elks and the American Legion.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Charlene of Clearfield; daughter Janice,

her husband Curt Purdum and their daughters, Staci, Ashley and Kayla of Ankeny, IA;

daughter Bobbi, her husband Randy Barker and their three children, Clint, Jon and

Megan of Blue Springs, Mo.; son Jeff and his three daughters, Trudy, Roxann and

Elizabeth; and daughter Luann, her husband Kent Growe of Kansas City, Mo.

Survivors also include his brother and wife, Lowell and Vaunciel of Clearfield and

sister and husband Betty and Leonard Zigler of Brooklyn, Iowa; Brothers-in-law and

wives, Gene and Marlene Linkvis of Sioux City, and Bob and Nelda Linkvis of Kingman,

Ariz, and Joe and Bonnie Bailey of Omaha, Neb.; sisters-in-law and husbands, Don and

Evelyn Dowell of Waukee, and Joe and Bernadine Sobotka of Diagonal; and his mother-

in-law Opal Bailey, along with a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

His infant son, Charles Junior, parents and father-in-law Cecil Bailey preceded him in

death.

His many interests included the acres of flower gardens at his home, the country

crafts that grace many of their family and friends' homes, his days spent farming, or

the morning coffee at the Clearfield Cafe.

Services were held Monday, October 18, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist

Church at Clearfield, IA with the Rev. Alan Rusk officiating. Music was provided by

Maralene Larsen and Kathy Nelson. Honorary pallbearers were LeRoy Beggs, Carroll

Baker, Willis Wurster, Boyd Larsen, Richard Trucks, Jerry Brown, Dave Anctil,

Kenneth Stephens, and Raymond Straight. Masonic rites were provided by Noble

Lodge #458 A.F. and A.M. and military graveside rites were by Woodside Post #97

of the American Legion of Clearfield.

Interment was at the Clearfield Cemetery at Clearfield, Iowa.

Brown, Elton Bruce -

Elton Bruce Brown was born November 3, 1922 on the family farm north of Blockton,

Iowa to Allie Brown and Hazel King Brown. He departed this life on August 15, 1999

at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa following complications from

heart surgery at 76 years of age.

Elton attended country school in Blockton and later graduated from the Blockton

High School with class of 1941. In January 1942, Elton volunteered for the Army.

He was stationed in Pearl Harbor (Hawaii) from May 1942 until October 1945.

He served on the medical staff as an ambulance driver during WWII.

On May 10, 1946, he was united in marriage to Jodene Schuster Brown, they moved

to Clearfield where all three of their children were born: Marilyn, Carolyn, and

Jerry. In 1960, they purchased their present day farm two miles north of Clearfield.

Elton was preceded in death by his parents Hazel in 1974 and Alfie in 1976 and

Jodene's parents Honey and Ralph Schuster in 1987. Also a sister Mildred and her

husband Dolan Norris, sister-in-law Virginia Brown, brother-in-law Joe Stermole,

and two nephews Rex Eugene and Steve.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Jodene of Clearfield; daughter Marilyn

Maltzahn, her husband Steve, and their daughter Traci Tamerius, her husband Mike,

and children Jessica and Alex all of Creston; daughter Carolyn Nelson, her husband

Jim of Clearfield, and their children Dana and Danny. Dana Snyder, her husband Eric,

and daughter Brooks and Amber of Clearfield. Elton also leaves to mourn his

passing brothers Kenneth of Grant City, Missouri, Rex and wife Bernice of Blockton,

Laverne and wife Annabel! of Bedford, sister Maona of Des Moines; a dear family

relative Bobbie Rood of Vancouver, Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, and

many, many friends.

Elton was a member of the Clearfield Lion's Club and the Blockton American Legion

Post #443.He was always proud of being a WWII veteran. Patriotism, the flag, and

his country were all important to him.  He took great pride in his farm and had a love

of nature. He spent many hours hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, and reading.

Education was also very important to him.

Elton and Jodene also loved to travel. They had spent over 20 years wintering in Las

Vegas where the climate always seemed to make Elton feel better. Elton enjoyed his

friends, the food, the fun, and the basketball games on TV while in Las Vegas.

Funeral services were held at the Clearfield Methodist Church on Wednesday,

August 18, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. A! Rusk officiating, Patty Parrish and Kathy

Nelson provided the music. Kathy played the guitar and sang "Grandpa Tell About

the Good Old Days" (the same song the granddaughters sang at Elton and Jodene's

50th Wedding Anniversary) and "Daddy's Hands". Patty Parrish also featured "When

Angels Fly on Eagle's Wings" on the organ. Pallbearers were Elton's son-in-laws and

grandsons: Steve Maltzahn, Jim Nelson, Danny Nelson, Brooks Brown, Mike

Tamerius, and Eric Snyder.

Wilson-Watson & Armstrong of Clearfield was in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials were made to the family to be decided at a later date. Interment was

at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Blockton, Iowa. The Blockton American Legion Post

#443 conducted military graveside rites.

Bush, Harriette Evelyn Bailey -

Hariette Evelyn Bush, 92 of Ephrata, Washington passed away on Tuesday, August

24 at the Columbia Basin Hospital Nursing Home in Ephrata.

She was born on March 4, 1907 in Iowa and married Howard Charles Bush on February

26, 1929 in Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Mrs. Bush graduated from high school in Clearfield, IA and spent two years at Creston

Teaching College.

She worked as a cook at the Rock Cafe in Ephrata, served on the Ration Board during

World War II, and was employed in the Grant County Auditor's office for 30 years,

retiring as chief deputy. Mrs. Bush was a member of the United Methodist Church

in Ephrata, Lakeview Golf and Country Club and was also a Lady Elk and member of the

Rebekah's.

She is survived by a daughter, Martina Joan and husband Wesley Keith Wiley of

Soap Lake; a sister-in-law, Lucille Bailey of Clearfield; two brothers-in-law, Wado R.

Bush and Jim Street; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces

and nephews.

Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard Charles Bush;

three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Fred Harshaw, Oris and Bill Ruby, and

Florence Street; and four brothers, Linus, George, Byrl and Melvin Bailey.

Funeral services were held on Monday, August 30, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at Nicoles

Funeral Home Chapel in Ephrata with the Rev. Richard Coghill officiating. Burial was

in the Ephrata Cemetery.

Glendenning, Donna Mae Krell Swartwood -

Donna Mae Glendenning was born July 23, 1930 in Fairfield, Nebraska to Everett and

Savilla Lindemann Krell and passed away October 7, 1999 at the Clearview Home in Mount

Ayr, IA, at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 14 days.

She attended public school in Hastings and Fairfield, NE and later attended South-

western Community College in Creston.

In November of 1947 she married Robert Swartwood in Hastings, NE. They moved to

a farm in Ringgold County in 1949.  To this union three children were born Bob, Debbie

and Guyla Jean. Robert passed away December 1, 1970.

On August 17, 1975 Donna married Max Glendenning from Mount Ayr, IA. They lived

on a farm south of Mt. Ayr all their married life. Max's daughter, Jan came to live with

them in 1976. Donna enjoyed her grandchildren, playing cribbage, going to Bingo, and

camping at the Iowa State Fair. Donna never knew a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her father, Everett Krell, daughter Guyla Jean Dymond

and grandson Beau Sage and husband Robert Swartwood.

Donna is survived by her husband, Max, mother and stepfather Savilla and Claire

Nelsrud of Grand Forks, North Dakota, mother-in-law Lola Glendenning of Mt. Ayr,

son Bob, wife Jeani Swartwood of Clearfield, IA, grandsons Brett Swartwood of San

Antonio, TX, Brian Swartwood of Des Moines and great granddaughter Kaysha

Swartwood, daughter Debbie Sage, husband Eric, grandsons Willie and Ryan all of

Altoona, IA, son-in-law Steve Dymond, grandson Rowdy Dymond of Adel, IA and

granddaughter Danielle Dymond of Woodbine, IA, stepdaughter Jan Campbell,

husband Kevin, grandchildren, Calob, Lucas, Jordan, Casey and Cacia of Mt. Ayr,

stepchildren Jeri, Jackie, Jamie, Jody, Joey and Jason. Also Vic, Mary and Caleb

Nelsrud of Grand Forks, North Dakota. Sister Peggy Parks and brother Norman

Krell, wife Wanda all of Sun City, Arizona and brother-in-law Loyd and wife LaVerne

Glendenning of Mt. Ayr. Many nieces, nephews  and a host of friends.

Services were held on Monday, October  11, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. at Wilson-Watson &

Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, IA with the Rev. Peter Brantner officiating.

Music was provided by Kathy Nelson.

Casketbearers were J.P. Whittington, Marvin Lesan, Jay Meester, Bob Haley, Jim

Overholser, and Rodger Cannon. Honorary pallbearers were Brett Swartwood, Brian

Swartwood, Willie Sage, Ryan Sage, Danielle Dymond, Rowdy Dymond, Calob Still,

Lucas Still and Jordan Still.

Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr, IA.

Haering, Thea Musette Farwell Jackson -

Memorial services for Thea Haering, age 82 of Lenox, who died Thursday at Greater

Community Hospital in Creston, were held Sunday, September 5, 1999 at 2:00 p.m.

at the Lenox United Methodist Church with Pastor Audrey Westendorf officiating.

Committal of ashes was held at the North Fairview Cemetery. Memorials can be given

in her name. Services were conducted by the Ritchie Funeral Home of Lenox.

Thea Musette Haering was born November 8, 1916 on a farm between Macksburg and

Zion to William and Theda (Smith) Farwell. Her father died when she was 10 so the

family moved to Des Moines for one year and then back to Creston where she

graduated from high school.

She married Everett (Chili) Jackson on June 27, 1937, and they had two sons. Everett

died in World War II. On August 7, 1952 she married Herman (Sam) Haering at

the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They were parents of one daughter. He preceded

her in death in 1988.

She was a member of the Lenox United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern

Star and several card clubs. She served the Rotary Club and catered for several years.

She enjoyed bowling, golf and especially spending time with her grandchildren and many

friends.

She is survived by her sons Doug (wife Virginia); Gordon (wife Kay) all of Yellville, Ark.

and daughter Paula (husband Phil) Sink of Lenox; seven granddaughters,

Leslie Horton, Regina Mallett, Valerie Shipman and Jodi Hardin all of Arkansas and

Philicia, Shonda and Jayme Sink of Lenox; two grandsons, Brad Jackson of San Francisco,

California and Ryan Jackson of Yellville, Ark.; seven great grandchildren; two sisters-

in-law, Martha Hamilton of Lenox and Wilma Eischen of West Des Moines and one

brother-in-law, Hal Jackson of Creston.

Preceding her in death were her parents, both husbands, three sisters, Ruby Shipley,

Thelma Garrett and Wanda Thompson, and one brother William "Bob" Farwell.

Lawrence, Brian Dean -

Funeral services for Brian Lawrence, age 36 of Blockton were held Thursday,

September 16, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. at the Blockton Christian Church with Pastor Scott

Marcum officiating. Burial was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Brian Dean Lawrence, son of James Dean Lawrence and Sharon Kay (Johnson) Groff

was born August 6, 1963 at Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr, IA. He departed

this life on Sept. 12, 1999 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Omaha, NE due to massive

injuries suffered in a car accident on August 26, 1999.

He spent his entire life living in Blockton, IA attending Blockton Public School and

graduated from Bedford High School in 1981. He attended Southwestern Community

College, receiving a degree in Auto Body in 1982.

On February 9, 1985 he was united in marriage to Vonn Lorine Lock at Blockton, IA.

Three children were born to this union to bless their home and share their love,

James Lee, Lacee Lorine and Joel Patrick.

Brian lost his dad at the young age of six years, due to a car accident. He and his

mother Sharon were blessed to join the life and family of Ivan Groff in 1972, giving

Brian a dad and sisters he didn't have.

Brian, affectionately known as "Harv", by many friends and family was an outgoing

person, making friends wherever he was and lending a helping hand. Brian had a

personality only those of us who knew and loved him could appreciate.

Brian had found his calling in life as a Correctional Officer at the Correctional Facility

in Clarinda. He had a special way with the inmates, receiving a respect not easily

attained.

He was known for his talent of raising, breeding and training mules. He and his family

enjoyed camping, attending trail rides and various mule shows.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, James Lawrence in 1969.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Vonn, three children, Jimmy, Lacee and Joel

of the home, parents Ivan and Sharon Groff of Blockton, sisters Elouise Longfellow,

husband Alan of Blockton, Sharon Mason, husband Mike of Houston, Texas, brother-

in-law Harold Dye of Harlan, sisters-in-law,  Ronda Mothershead, husband

Tom of Bedford, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in which he shared

a special closeness.

Mercer, Ray Wilber -

Ray Wilber Mercer was born on Friday, February 19, 1926 at the family farm in

Taylor County, Iowa. He was the son of Ervin B. and Lola Judy Rusco Mercer. Ray

died peacefully at his home cast of Bedford, Iowa. [Died Sept. 28, 1999]

Ray was united in marriage to Phyllis June Minnick on April 27, 1946 at Grant City,

Missouri and to this union one son, Elvin was born. Ray was a farmer and he worked

for several years at the Bedford Sale Barn and for Dr. Jim Lucas.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Phyllis on January 18, 1966

and their son, Elvin; infant brothers Ralph and Raymond and sisters Catherine

Davis and Goldie Jackson.

He is survived by his brothers, R.C. Mercer and wife Virginia of Olympia, WA;

Rexel Mercer of Albion, IA; Junior Mercer and wife Ailene. Eugene

Mercer and wife Joyce, all of Gladbrook, IA; Marvin Mercer of Medford.

OR. and Howard H. Mercer and wife Annette of Cowand, Tennessee, as well as

many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Graveside Services were held at the Athelstan Cemetery at Athelstan, IA on

Saturday, October 2, 1999 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Alan Rusk

officiating. Interment was in the Athelstan, IA cemetery.

Arrangements were provided by Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home

in Clearfield.

Saunders, June Marie Thompson -

Funeral services for June  Saunders, age 66 of Lenox, who died at her home

on Saturday, October 16, 1999 were held Tuesday, October 19, 1999 at 10:00

a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church with Pastor Tim Maxa officiating. A

private committal of ashes was held in the West Fairview Cemetery. Memorials

can be given in her name. Services were conducted by the Ritchie Funeral Home

of Lenox.

June Marie Saunders was born December 27, 1932 in Carbon, Iowa. She was

one of 12 children born to John Thompson and Alice Sprague Thompson. June

grew up in the Corning and Carbon areas.

On October 22, 1949 she was united in marriage to Don Saunders in Corning.

After their marriage the couple moved to the Lenox area.

June loved to crochet, spend time in her garden and work with flowers. She

worked for the Sheridan Egg Company from 1969 to 1988 when she retired.

June's greatest love of all was her family, especially the time spent with her

grandchildren.

She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Lenox and the

American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 250.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Don of Lenox; three daughters,

Vicki Westendorf and husband Larry of Waterloo; Kathryn Scott and husband

Don of Sharpsburg; Debra Midthun and friend Clarence Miller of Creston;

a son, Gary Saunders of Coupeville, Wash.; six brothers, LeRoy Thompson and

wife Jessie of Red Oak; Luther Thompson and wife Flo of Des Moines; Leonard

Thompson and wife Doris of Casey; Robert Thompson and wife Charlotte of

Omaha; Harold Thompson and wife Gloria of Abingdon, Ill.; and Kenneth

Thompson and wife Fran of Omaha; two sisters, Pat Wiand of Omaha and

Connie Travis and husband Dennis of Denison; five grandchildren, Nicole Paul

of Conway;  Deanne Scott of Creston, Jeffrey Boyd of Washington; and one

great grandchild, Sierra Paul of Conway, and a host of nieces, nephews and

friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, John and Alice, an infant son, Dennis,

two brothers, Richard and Terry and a sister, Betty.

Sawyer, Bradley William -

Bradley W. Sawyer, 20, a resident of 407 2nd Ave., Charles City, died

Wednesday morning, Oct. 13, 1999, at the Mercy Health Center, North Iowa,

East Campus in Mason City, following an automobile accident near Mason City.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. John Evangelical

Lutheran Church in Charles City. The Revs. Dennis Niezwaag and Mark Anderson

officiated. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.

Bradley William Sawyer was born March 17, 1979, at Mason City, the son of

Scott and Leigh Anne (Molby) Sawyer. He graduated from Charles City High

School where he was active on the yearbook staff and a writer for the school

newspaper, "The Spirit."

He enjoyed all sports, especially golf. He also loved being with friends, playing

cards and playing with his dog, Bridget.

Living family members include his mother, Annie Sawyer of Charles City; his

father, Scott and his wife, Jolene Sawyer of Charles City; his sister, Tara  of

Charles City, two stepsisters, Jodee Patterson and Megan Patterson of Charles

 City; a special friend, Amanda Springer of Charles City; maternal grandparents,

Wallace and Cindy Molby of Port Sulfur, La., Carita Green of Prescott, Wallace

Mobly Sr. of Creston, and Clarice Outhier of Lenox; paternal grandparents, Bill

and Ann Sawyer of Lenox and Vivian Sawyer of Bedford.

Smith, Martha Francesca Bergstresser -

Martha Franccsca Smith was born January 12, 1916 in Emaus, Pennsylvania to

Pennsylvania Dutch parents Edwin A. Bcrgstresscr and Meda M. Mohr. She died

on Sept. 15, 1999, at Alegent  Health Hospital in Corning at the age of 83.

Martha married Howard Alvin Smith on June 29, 1940. To this union four

children were born. Martha was a homemaker and a devoted Mother who loved

hearing about and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Arlene Oswald and

Alice Dries.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lanette Carr (husband Harry) of

Collegeville, Penn.; Joan Wurster (husband Jerry) of Lenox; two sons, Dale

Smith (wife Mary Ann) of Austin, Texas; Randy Smith (wife, Dyane) of Citrus

Heights, California; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; sister

Marguerite Jones of Fredericks, Penn.

Private family graveside services were held September 21, 1999 at North

Fairview Cemetery, Lenox, Iowa.

Cocn-Beaty Funeral Home of Lenox was in charge of services.

Stoner, Bessie (Bea) Crouch -

Word has been received here of the death of Bessie (Bea) Crouch Stoner.

She was born to Mr. and Mrs. James Crouch, at Lenox, Iowa on August 9,

1903, and passed away at the hospital in Caupevelle, Washington on

August 21, 1999, where she had made her home the last few years, in order

to be near her relatives. She enjoyed quite good health to the very last.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lester Stoner, two

brothers, Frank and Wesley Crouch and is survived by two daughters,

Marjorie Bricker and husband Milton, and Phyllis Clifton and husband Jack,

five grandchildren, Mark and Jay Bricker, Merritt, Ted and Nicole Clifton,

and a sister Mrs. Ethel Quinn.

Burial will be beside her husband at El Ceretto, California, where their home

was for many years.

Tassell, Dennis -

Dennis Tassell, 60, 605 Reba Street, Lone Rock, Iowa, passed away of

cancer at his home on September 20, 1999.

He was Superintendent in Diagonal School from 1971 to 1992. He was

athletic director, elementary principal, coached high school girls softball,

high school baseball, boys and girls junior high and high school basketball

at various times during his 21 years in Diagonal.

He had been Superintendent and girls basketball coach at Sentral of

Fenton since 1992, guiding the basketball team to the state tournament

in 1996 and 1997. He was unable to continue in the work he enjoyed this

year due to his illness.

He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.

Weir, J. T. -

Funeral services for J.T. Weir, age 79 of Bedford, who died Monday at his home

were held Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. at the Area Bible Fellowship

Church in Clearfield with Pastor Phillip Henderson officiating.

Internment with military rites accorded by the John F. Hardin American Legion

Post No. 164 were held in the Fairview Cemetery in Bedford.

Memorials can be directed to the Area Bible Fellowship Church in Clearfield.

Services were conducted by the Ritchie Funeral Home of Bedford.

J.T. Weir was born January 4, 1920, in Taylor County near Bedford, the son of

Samuel Weir and Olive (Martin) Weir. J.T. lived in the Jackson Township area and

attended school in Bedford, graduating in 1939.

During World War II, J.T. served in the United States Air Force with the

Second Air Force. He was a member of the 49th Bomb Squadron of B17's. J.T.

was a Tech Sergeant where he spent time overseas.

After World War II was over, J.T. and Shirley were married in Bedford on

Dec. 24, 1946. They are the parents of two children, a daughter, Patricia and a

son, Milton.

J.T. worked for Vane Lucas at Lucas Products Company in Bedford for nine years.

He was then employed as a welder and maintenance man at  Tote's in Lenox for 18

years.

J.T. and Shirley have lived in Bedford all of their married life except for seven

years when they lived on the Pickering farm south of Bedford.

J.T. has been in woodworking for over 40 years. Another of his hobbies was

making World War II airplane models. He was a member of the Area Bible

Fellowship Church in Clearfield.

J.T. is survived by his wife Shirley of Bedford; a daughter, Patricia Dyer and

husband Robert of Omaha; a son, Milton Weir; a brother Guy Weir and wife Louise

of Bedford; a sister, Alice Colyn and husband John of Sabetha, Kansas; three

grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Olive, and a sister, Irene

Henry.

Wineinger, Dorothy Faye -

Dorothy Faye Wineinger was born in Blockton, Iowa on October 2, 1916. She

was one of six children born to Grant and Pearl Wineinger. She went to be

with The Lord on Oct. 12, 1999.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Silma Florence

Wineinger and two brothers, Darryl Alvin Wineinger and Wilbert Paul

Wineinger.

She is survived by a sister Lois S. Wineinger and a brother, Raymond E.

Wineinger and his wife Dorothy. She also leaves two nieces, Pamela D. Nelson

of Seattle, WA and Gail K. Wideen of Monroe and two nephews, Phil M. Wineinger

of Seattle and Ron E. Wineinger of Monroe.

There are ten great nieces and nephews, as well as six great grand nieces

and nephews.

She was dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
