Bashor, Agnes Eugenia Sundell -

Agnes Eugenia Sundell was born the daughter of John Anders and Wilhelmina Carlson Sundell on December 14, 1899 in Escanaba,

Michigan, and entered into rest at the Lenox Care Center on January 20, 1997 at the age of 97 years, 1 month and 6 days.

She attended High School in Sharpsburg and Bedford. She was united in marriage with Ora Clyde Bashor on August 23, 1922. Agnes

worked for the Department of Commerce in the Census Bureau in both Washington, D.C. and Jeffersonville, Indiana, retiring in 1967.

Agnes was an active member of the United Methodist Church, the P.E.O. and the Legion Auxilary.

Surviving to honor her memory are her son; Lowell Allen (wife Laverne) Bashor of Hayward, Wisconsin, brother; Karl (wife Ruth) Sundell of Lenox, sister-in-law Betty Sundell of Sun City, Arizona, grandchildren; Neal (wife Mary Ann) Bashor of Cockeysville, Maryland, Diane

(husband Rick) Chambers of Hayward, Wisconsin, Ralph (wife Teresa) Bashor of Elgin, Illinois and 5 great grandchildren; Kevin Bashor,

Eric and Amy Chambers and Bradley and Loren Bashor.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband; Ora Clyde Bashor in 1934, and brother John Sundell.

Bolinger, Rex -

Services for Rex Bolinger were held April 18 at the Larkin & Shelley Funeral Home with Dr. Victor Bolinger officiating.

Music was provided by Kathy Nelson.

Casket Bearers were Mike Bolinger, R.B. Davenport, Steve Bolinger, Virgil Bolinger, Curtis Bolinger and Wade Bolinger.

Honorary Bearers were Roy Weddle, Owen Spencer, Ervin Spencer, Barton Spencer, Claud Rinehart, Loren Bolinger, Kenny Bolinger and

Paul Bolinger.

Rex was the first son of John R. and Susie H. Scott Bolinger born in Harrison County, Allendale, Missouri on April 18, 1911 and entered

into rest at the Clearview Nursing Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa on April 15, 1997 at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 28 days.

He was raised in Southern Iowa, mostly Ringgold County, and on October 13, 1932 he was united in marriage with Austie Pearl Spencer in Grant City, Missouri. They were married right after the depression. They were blessed with 12 children including one set of twins, which were the first not born at home.

Rex will always be remembered as the oldest of 9 boys with each of them having a sister. He farmed all of his life until retirement, when they then moved to Lenox, Iowa.

He is survived by all 12 children; Viola (Dwayne) Wahl Clearfield, Junior (Sandy) Bolinger of Creston, Margie (Rob) Keener of Craig, MO,

Lowell (Doreen) Bolinger of What Cher, Robert "Doc" (Linda) Bolinger of Kent, Floyd (Kay) Bolinger of Diagonal, Doris (Raymond)

Scott of Tingley, Ron (Del) Bolinger of Lenox, ClarK (Elaine) Bolinger of Lenox, Dora (Ron) Ray of Creston, Georgia (Gene) Springer of

Cromwell, Melvin (Sharon) Bolinger of Knoxville; 37 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 3 brothers; Paul (Erma) Bolinger of Plattsburg, MO, Kenny (Sherry) Bolinger of Clearfield, Loren (Dorothy) Bolinger of Blockton, and Claud Rinehart of Mt Ayr, sister-in-laws, Violet Bolinger of St. Joseph, Mo., Rose Bailey, of Coin, Iowa, June Saville of Des Moines and Doris Hall of Maryville, MO, and many other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife, Austie on February 18, 1995, 5 brothers; Everett, Virgil, Clarence, Lloyd and Weldon,

their sister Opal Rinehart and sister-in-law Marcia Bolinger.

Interment was in Blue Grove Cemetery. Memorials are to the family.

Bovaird, Donald Edwin -

Donald Edwin Bovaird, younger son of Claude J. and Ethel I. Riley Bovaird, was born May 12, 1917, on the family farm in Mercer

Township, Adams County, Iowa, and entered into rest at his rural Prescott home in Adams County on January 15, 1997, at the age of 79 years, eight months and three days.

Donald attended country school through the eighth grade and graduated from Lenox High School in 1935 as valedictorian of his class. He joined the Mercer Center Methodist Church in 1931 and attended Epworth League as a young man.

In later years he served as a Sunday school teacher and church treasurer.

He was married to LaVerne Burkhalter on October 17, 1948, at the Mercer Center Church. They rented a farm about three

miles from his parents and lived there until 1961, when they purchased and moved to their present farm. Four daughters, Karen, Kathleen. Donna and Carol, were born to bless their union.

Donald was a life long tiller of the soil. Donald is survived by his loving wife, LaVerne; daughters, Karen Saltzman and husband Ron of

rural Corning; Kathleen Liebenguth of Bellevue, Nebraska; Donna Glynn and husband Dan of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; and Carol Bovaird

of rural Prescott. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Steven and Amy Saltzman, Jessie, Abby, Kelsey Liebenguth, and Elizabeth,

Laura and Anna Glynn,  cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Carl.

Services were held Monday, January 20, at the Mercer Center United Methodist Church with Pastor Audrey Westendorf officiating.

Music was by pianist Kathryn Wilson.

Casket bearers were Dean Bovaird, Dale Burkhalter, Bill Crane, Dan Glynn, Edwin Ramsey, and David Riley.

Interment was at North Fairview Cemetery at Lenox, Iowa. Memorials are to Mercer Center United Methodist Church.

Brown, Lillian Joy McClue Pearson -

Lillian Joy Brown was born October 15, 1907, in Jones County, South Dakota, one of four children of Byron McClue and Emma (Dowling)

McClue.

Lillian resided for only a short time in South Dakota with her family before they moved to Carroll County, Iowa. They made a brief move

to Nebraska, and then back to Iowa. During her teen years, they moved to Eastern Colorado, where they continued to live until 1942. In

1928, Lillian was married to Franklin Pearson in Missouri.

At that time, she moved to Des Moines. She worked at an Ordinance Plant in Ankeny during World War II. On April 13, 1946, she was

married to Horace H. Brown in Kansas City, Missouri.

Later, she worked at the Frency Way Dry Cleaners in Des Moines for 25 years. She retired in 1970. In 1973, she and her husband Horace moved to Lenox. Following his death in 1993, she returned to Des Moines.

Lillian died February 16, 1997, at the Urbandale Rehabilitation and Care Center in Urbandale, Iowa, at the age of 89 years,

4 months, 1 day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a sister: June Slocum, and a brother Truman McClue.

Lillian is survived by her daughters; Wanda Jensen and husband Marvin of Des Moines and Mary A. Gage of Colorado Springs, Colorado;

step-sons: James Brown and wife Tess of Los Angeles, California and Van Brown and wife Karen of West Des Moines; a brother Delmar

McClue and wife Peggy of Bellingham, Washington; 13 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren; as well as

many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 20, 1997, at Coen-Beaty Funeral Home in Lenox with Pastor Audrey Westendorf of the Lenox United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the West Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation was held Wednesday evening at Coen-Beaty Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Jensen, Joel Jensen, Edwin Jensen, Mike Brown and Jerry Lange. Kathryn Wilson as organist provided

accompaniment for Marilyn Beck and Billie Jean Barker as they sang, "In the Garden" and "How Great Thou Art".

Memorials are suggested to the Urbandale Rehabilitation and Care Center.

Coen-Beaty Funeral Home of Lenox was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Brown, Sylvia Chandler -

Sylvia Chandler Brown was born February 7, 1907, to T.J. "Jeff" Chandler and Mary Cordelia Brown Chandler in Brentwood, Arkansas, and departed this life February 17, 1997, at the Clearview Home in Clearfield, Iowa, at the age of 90 years and 10 days.

Her family moved to Vermont, Illinois, when she was one year old and at the age of eight, moved by train to Ringgold County, Iowa. Later

they moved south of Lenox, Iowa, and Sylvia graduated from the Lenox High School with the Class of '26.

She was married July 25, 1926, to Cornelius 'Bud" Brown of Kent and to that union was born four children: Harlan Duane, Mara Lou, Bud

Carwin, and Sharon Kay.

Bud and Sylvia farmed all their married lives in Union and Ringgold counties. In 1953 they bought their farm north of Diagonal and retired from there in 1966, moving to their Lenox apartment in 1976.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius, parents, her four brothers and five sisters, one grandson, and one stepdaughter. 

She is survived by her children: Harlan and wife, Lila, Mara Lou Jeter and husband, Oren, Bud and wife Cheryl, Sharon Sobotka and husband, Ivan. Also nine grandchildren and their families: Mike Brown and Rhonda, Kathy Francis and Steve, Duane Jeter and

Lori, Kim Beggs and Jeff, Steve Brown and Dana, Kevin Brown and Andrea, Nikki Starlin and Monty, Ed Sobotka, Jim Sobotka and

Debbi; and eighteen great grandchildren: Brock Brown, Angie and Tracy Francis, Jamie and Casey Beggs, Stephanie, Matthew, Patrick

and Daniel Brown; Wes, Eric, Jeffrey, and Chad Starlin, Amy, Jeremy and Lauren Sobotka, and Kristen and Tyler Sobotka. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 21, 1997, at 10:30 a.m. at the Lenox United Methodist Church with Pastor

Audrey Westendorf officiating. Burial was in the North, Fairview Cemetery. Visitation was held Thursday evening at Coen-Beaty Funeral Home in Lenox.

Serving as pallbearers were Mike Brown, Steve Brown, Kevin Brown, Duane Jeter, Ed Sobotka, Steve Francis and Monty Starlin.

Kathryn Wilson as organist provided accompaniment for Marilyn Beck and Billie Jean Barker as they sang, "Whispering Hope" and "Peace

in the Valley".

A memorial was in Sylvia Brown's name.

Coen-Beaty Funeral Home of Lenox was in charge of the arrangements.

Bruner, Ava C Greer -

Ava Bruner was born near Conway, Iowa April 25, 1903, to Charles and Cassie Larison Greer and passed away February 6, 1997 at the

Clearview Home in Clearfield, Iowa. She attended country school and later worked as a hired girl in many homes.

On January 24, 1923, she was united in marriage to Frederick A. Bruner at her parents home near Conway.  She lived her entire life in

Taylor county. To this union were born two daughters; Dorothy Parrish and Darlene Larsen.

She was a member of the Clearfield United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and a past member of the Greenwood Ladies Aid and the P.F.F. Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Edna Greer, Elsie Miller, her twin sister Eva Monk, Goldie Wood and a brother Perle

Greer, sons-in-law Richard Larsen and Robert Parrish, nine brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.

She is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Fred, daughters Dorothy and Darlene, 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, 6 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 8, 1997, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Alan Rusk officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Jean

Huffman and Mrs. Cathy Nelson. Casketbearers were Leo Sobotka, Darrell Monk, John Lyddon, Kenny Nelson, Jack Gourley, and Phil

Henderson. Interment was at the Clearfield Cemetery.

Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral service.

Butler, Hazel O -

Hazel O. Butler, 79, formerly of the Senior Citizens Housing in Agency, died at 3:35 a.m. March 31, 1997 at the Sunnyslope Care Center.

She was born October 17, 1917 to Byron Thomas and Nelle Grace Wilson Butler.

She was a member of the Agency United Methodist Church, and the Rebekah Lodge in Agency. She had been a member of the

Womens Society of Christian Service, and the W.C.T.U. She had taught Sunday School for many years at the Lenox

United Methodist Church in Lenox.

Funeral services were Friday at the Agency United Methodist Church with Rev. Timothy Rieckhoff-Faris and Rev. Vern Elder officiating.

Burial will be in the Lenox Cemetery in Lenox.

Clark, Everett Warren -

Born in Alva, Oklahoma on September 22, 1925, Mr. Clark died Monday, January 20 in Fayetteville, Arkansas after

a prolonged illness.

He is survived by three sons: Everett Clark of Lenox, William Clark of Western Australia, Michael Clark of

Medford, Wisconsin; a daughter, Kathleen Brungardt of Denver, Colorado; a former spouse, Wanda Painter of

Bailey, Colorado; a wife, Ruth Clark of Braddyville, Missouri; a sister, Lillian Glover of Walnut Shade, Missouri and

several grandchildren and stepchildren.

Mr. Clark was preceded in death by a brother, William, his father, Russell and his mother Daisy. Funeral services

were held Thursday, January 23 in Forsyth, Missouri with internment at the National Cemetery in Springfield,

Missouri in accordance with Mr. Clark's wishes.

Foster, Cassie Leona Else -

Cassie Leona Foster, age 99, of Ankeny, -Iowa, died on February 21, 1997 at the Urbandale Health Care Center in Urbandale, Iowa.

Services were held Tuesday, February 25, 1997 at Hamilton's in Des Moines, Iowa. Interment was at the Guss Cemetery near Guss,

Iowa.

Cassie was born near Guss, in Taylor County on October 22, 1897 to Fred and Mary Josephine (Cady) Else. She earned a teaching degree

at Indianola, Iowa and taught four years at country schools. She married Dale Foster on September 11, 1920 in Clarinda. After farming several years they moved to Elmo, Missouri where Dale ran a gas station and Cassie operated a hair salon.

In 1928 they decided to move back to Iowa and raise their children on a farm. In 1944 they bought the farm near Sharpsburg. Dale died September 13, 1959 and Cassie moved to Ankeny where she became "Grandmother" to more than thirty of her neighbor children, she was a very kind, caring and loving person. Her hobbies were gardening, cooking, reading and working crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Myrtle Corbin, Bessie Lewis and Erma Closer, and four brothers; Archie, Lester, Victor and Francis and one grandson; Kevin Foster.

She is survived by one sister, Winnie Spring of Lenox, Iowa; her two sons and their wives, Keith and Ann Foster of Beaufort, South Carolina and Gene and Darlene Foster of Ankeny; her two daughters and husbands, Janice and Hal Severn of San Luis Obispo,

California and Joanne and Paul Chitty of Bella Vista, Arkansas. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Black, Earl Lewis, Hal Severn, Leslie Jackson, Paul Oxley and Paul Chitty Jr.

Honorary pallbearers were Keith Wilson, Everett Hickle, Rex Devine, Jim Lewis, Gordon Sturm and Erwin Aswegan.

Frame, Glen Wesley -

Glen Wesley Frame, 94, son of Clarence M. and Mary Overmier Frame was born May 20, 1902 in Taylor County, Iowa

and departed this life on February 27, 1997.

On September 5, 1923, Glen was married to Mildred Velda Snare in Taylor County. He worked as a hired hand in the Lenox area until 1939 when he rented his first farm. In 1958 he bought and moved to a farm south of Clearfield. He lived on this farm until his death.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman until his health limited his activities. Some of Glen's favorite memories were his fishing trips with his family and friends. As a past time he enjoyed playing cards and bingo. His determination in life made him a good provider, excellent

farmer and good friend and neighbor.

Glen is survived by four sons: Kenneth Frame of Lincoln, Nebraska; Eugene (Red) (wife Sandy) Frame of Edward, Missouri; Norman (wife Bernice) Frame of Littleton, Colorado; and Howard (wife Nellie) Frame of Longmont, Colorado; three daughters, Glenna (husband

Raymond) Eggert of Clearfield, Alice (husband Bill) Witmer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Golda (husband Melvin) Ingram

of Prairie City, Iowa; one brother, Floyd Frame of Clearfield, 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 step greatgrandchildren,

and 8 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, Martha, one grandchild, one great-grandchild, one sister and three brothers.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 2, 1997, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Clearfield. Rev. Alan

Rusk officiated. Music was provided by Mrs. Erwood Huffman and George Haidsiak.

Casketbearers were Bill Eggert, John Eggert, Steve Whitmer, Brenda Frame, Sharon Villegas, Kim Johnston, Pam Skiller, Tom

Frame, and Karla Tibboel.

Honorary pallbearers were Mary Kay VanHunnik, Nancy Schempp, Trishia Frame, Dena Henely, Pam Teldon, and Rhonda Erickson.

Interment was in the West Fairview Cemetery at Lenox, Iowa.

Hays, Mable Irene Inman -

Mable Irene Hays, age 95, was born. April 9, 1902 at LeGrand, Iowa to parents Aaron and Elena Inman. She died on April 28, 1997 at

Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Mable spent most of her growing up years in Missouri and Kansas. She married Glen Hays on October 22, 1918 and they settled in South Dakota. They later moved to the Sharpsburg, Iowa area where they farmed until their retirement, when they moved to Bedford. To this union nine children were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Richard Hays, four brothers, and two grandchildren who died at

birth.

She is survived by her daughter Garland and husband Bud Nissen of Omaha, Nebraska; son Paul and wife Shirley Hays of Omaha,

Nebraska; daughter Ruth Huddle of Omaha, Nebraska; daughter Lola and husband Russ Wright of Spencer, Iowa; son Vernon and wife Joan Hays of Glenwood, Iowa; daughter-in-law Wilma Hays of Lenox, Iowa; son Dean and wife Jeannine Hays, of Osage Beach, Missouri; son, Dennis and wife Ruth Hays of Ellston, Iowa; daughter Jeannette and husband Harold Williams of Kellerton, Iowa; twenty-four

grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Nettie Thompson of Garretson, South Dakota, and many nieces and nephews.

While she lived in the Bedford area her and her husband had been baptized and became members of the First Baptist Church of

Bedford. Sometime after her husband's death, twenty-six years ago, she moved to Clarinda, Iowa, and then later to the Omaha, Nebraska area.

She spent her last four years at the Risen Son Christian Village Nursing Home of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Here she resided until her last illness.

Funeral arrangements were handled by the Novinger-Taylor Funeral Home with services conducted Friday, May 2, 1997 at 1:30 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Bedford with Pastor Jamie Mogler officiating. Burial was at Lexington Cemetery of Rural Taylor County Iowa.

Liddell, Margaret Ellen Coulthard -

Margaret Ellen Liddell, 90, died Tuesday morning, January 21, 1997 at the Griswold Care Center.

The daughter of Elmer James and Ella Belle (Heath) Coulthard, she was born November 12, 1906, at Lenox,

Iowa. There she attended country schools and graduated from Lenox High School. On December 22, 1925, she

married James Audrey Liddell at Creston, Iowa. They made their home in Adams, Taylor, Page, Fremont, and Cass

counties.

In the spring of 1941 they moved southeast of Griswold where she lived until entering the care center 5 years ago.

Margaret attended the United Methodist Church and was a member of the Windy Summit Birthday Club at Essex. She

enjoyed embroidery and making quilts for her family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters: Jean Houser and husband Marion and Marilyn Brunk and husband Harold

both of Griswold; two sons Russell Liddell and wife Laurel of Griswold and Duane Liddell and wife Norma of Villisca;

also 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1974, and one brother, Howard Coulthard.

Funeral services was held 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 24, 1997, at the Griswold United Methodist Church, Pastor Jeff

Dadisman officiating. Burial will be in the Lowman Cemetery.

Gordon Mitchell of Hesperia, California passed away May 8th. His wife Louise is a sister of Velma Levi and Selma Lucas. He will be

buried in Keokuk, Iowa.

O'Riley, Betty Ann Cook -

Betty Ann O'Riley, was born June 25, 1924, to Chauncey and Mary (Trost) Cook. She died January 29, 1997, from complications of diabetes at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa, at the age of 72 years, 7 months, and 4 days.

Betty was born, raised, and lived near Lenox all her life. Betty loved to play basketball and in 1941 when she was a junior in Lenox High School, her team tied for third place in the State Basketball Tournament. Following graduation from high school in 1942, Betty taught country school one mile east of Bushville for one year, and another year near Caskey's farm (currently Ron White Farm).

One August 15, 1944, Betty married Herbert Wayne O'Riley of Lenox in the bay window of her parent's home near Lenox. Betty and Wayne farmed one mile north and one mile west of Lenox most of their married lives. In the 60's she made donuts and worked in

produce at Super Valu, where some called her "the donut Lady".

Betty loved gardening and cooking. Betty and Wayne enjoyed dancing, especially to the Hi-Fives. She loved camping at the Iowa State Fair and visiting with family and friends there.

She is survived by her husband Wayne, three sons, and seven grandchildren; Stephen and wife Sheryl and daughters, Keely and Colleen

of Minok, Illinois; Craig and wife Sandy and children Derek, Kyle and Diana of Ames, Iowa; and Kirk and wife Sheila and sons Clint and Jared of Lenox, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Helen Springer, and a brother George Cook.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family and friends will miss her greatly.

Services were held Saturday, February 1, 1997 at 10:30 a.m. Officiating Pastor Audrey Westendorf. Casket Bearers; Jerry Reed, Kurt

Brown, Dave Rogers, Gail Christensen, Tom Christensen, Dean Hogan.  Honorary bearers Don Trost, Lew Eckels, Rex Pierce, Shorty Brown, Bob Morris, Glen Vogel, Raymond Trost, Glen Brokaw, Kenny Black, Roger James, Memorial, Greater Community Hospital Dialasis Center.  Interment North Fairview Cemetery.

Stephens, Bernetta Cordelia Roe -

Bernetta Cordelia Stephens, daughter of Curtis Zelmer Roe and Eula Mae Robbins Roe, was born July 17, 1910, in Farley, Missouri. She departed this life at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa, on March 1, 1997, at the age of 86 years, seven months, and 12 days.

After her graduation from high school, Bernetta taught school for a short time and then became employed by the telephone company which was later to become Contel of Iowa. She was to work for this company until her retirement.

She was united in marriage to Merle Everett Stephens on September 24, 1939, and to this union were born two sons, Dick

of Clearfield, Iowa, and Dale of Grinnell, Iowa.

After her retirement, Bernetta and Merle traveled some and went to California to see relatives and into Kansas to Merle's birthplace. They never were able to travel extensively because of Merle's health.

From an early age Bernetta became very involved in the Methodist Church and in church activities and these associations through the church composed a large part of her life. She was a devoted Christian and contributed many hours to the United Methodist Women

organization and other church activities. She enjoyed her membership and treasured the friends in her "Modern Mother's Club" which met at least  monthly.

She spent a great deal of time creating quilts for each of their grandchildren which she gave to them as they grew up.

Several Christmas Eves were spent helping to prepare for the coming of Santa in the homes of the grandchildren.

Following brain surgery in 1965, Bernetta spent several quality years with her family before her health forced her to make use of the excellent care provided at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr. She moved to Clearview in 1988 where she remained until her death.

Bernetta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Merle, her sister Mary Newton, her brothers Curtis Roe of Boulder, Colorado and Elmo Roe of Mount Ayr and a niece Trudy Newton. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Dale and Dick, her daughters-in-law, Tenette and Jeanne, her grandchildren Mark, Sonia, Scott, and Darin, her great grandchildren Conner, Lane, and Ember, her brother Bob and wife Bea Roe, a sister-in-law, Fra Roe, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 6, 1997, at the United Methodist Church in Mount Ayr, Iowa, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Druhl and Rev. Merlin Wilkins officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Gregg Cannon, Mrs. Robert Fisher, and Mrs. Jim

Jones. Casketbearers were Dan Roe, Royce Dredge, Eric Dredge, Jerry Carpenter, Steve Roe, and Pat Weeda.

Interment was at the Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home of Mount Ayr, Iowa, was in charge of the arrangements.
