Bruington, Ward Dean -

Funeral services were conducted for Ward Dean Bruington, 44, by Elder Lloyd Wyman of Portland, Ore., Friday, May 20, in the chapel at Forest Grove, Ore. Last rites of the Masonic Order were given by

Holbrook Lodge No. 30 A F & A M of Forest Grove.

 

Mr Bruington passed away at Tuality Hospital following three years of failing health. He was a diesel engineer by occupation and following the war worked in Alaska and later for various logging

and lumber companies in Idaho, Washington and Oregon.

 

Mr Bruington was born April 12, 1911 in Amidon, N. Dak., the

third son of Ward Drury and Mabel Hodges Bruington.  On July 3, 1944 he was united in marriage with Lucy Mae McLaughlin at Kennewick Wash. His wife survives him with their daughter Donna Mae. His parents, Mr and Mrs W D Bruington now reside at  Springfield, Ore. Also four brothers, Lewis of Glendale, Ore., George of Lark, N D, Roy of Portland and Harry of Hood River, Ore. and two sisters Ethel Wagner and Laura Werner of Lark, N.D.

 

Interment was at Forest View Cemetery.

Butler, Charles William -

Charles Butler, 70, passed away Tuesday night at 10 o'clock at the Creston hospital.  He lived on a farm 4 miles east or Lenox and has been a resident of this community all of his life.

 

Funeral services are today, Thursday, at 2 o'clock at Bender Funeral home with Rev Willard Morris officiating. Burial will be in Lenox cemetery.

 

Survivors include his wife, Orpha, one daughter, Mrs Merle Ferguson, Long Beach, Calif.; 2 granddaughters: six sisters,

Mrs Edith Hewitt, Mrs Olive Hughes, Mrs Mabel Wilson, Mrs

Carrie Dahlberg, Mrs Nellie Peterson, all of Lenox; Mrs Jane

Jones of Oskaloosa; one brother Harry of Lenox.

Butler, Charles William -

Charles William Butler, son of Annie and John C. Butler, was

born on a farm in Ringgold County, Iowa, August 2, 1884. He attended Prairie Star School, and united with the Prairie Star Church, of which he remained a member all his life. His mother passed away in 1898, when he was fourteen years old.

 

On June 5, 1912, he was united in marriage to Orpha Esther Ray and two children blessed the marriage, Reva and Kenneth.  Throughout his life, farming was his occupation.  After several years of illness, he

suddenly took worse, and passed away at the Creston Community

Hospital, May 10, 1955.

 

Preceding him in death were his son, Kenneth, who was killed in World War II, on July 9, 1942; two brothers, Clarence and Howard; and a son-in-law, Archie Stewart.

 

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Orpha, his daughter, Reva Ferguson, and her husband, Merle Ferguson, and two grandchildren, Sheila and Robert Stewart, all of Long Beach, California; six sisters Mrs. Edith Hewitt, Mrs. Mabel Wilson, Mrs. Olive Hughes, Mrs.

Carrie Dahlberg, Mrs. Nellie Peterson, all of Lenox; and Mrs.

Jane Jones, of Oskaloosa; one brother, Harry Butler, of Lenox;

and a host of other relatives and friends.

Cade, Irving H. -

Irving H Cade, 87, died at a Clarinda hospital Friday night July 29. He had lived in Lenox since retiring from the farm and had made his home with his children since his wife died last September.

 

Funeral services were held Aug 1, at Bender Funeral Home  conducted by Rev Donald Gibson. Burial was in Blue Grove

cemetery.

OBITUARY

Irving H Cade, son of Henry and Sabrena Cade, was born in

Vernon County, Wisc., Sept 16, 1868 and passed away at Clarinda,

Iowa, July 29, 1955 after a short illness.

 

In 1869 his family moved to Northern Iowa and two years later they came to Taylor County where he lived for the rest of his life.

 

On March 29, 1899 he was united in marriage to Jennie M Durr. They became the parents of six children: Ruth Wurster of Lenox; George Cade of Conway; also three daughters, Mable and Ethel who died in infancy and another daughter Zelda who passed away at the

age of 13 years.

 

Mrs Cade preceded her husband in death Sept 14, 1954, and

after that time he made his home with his children. Besides his son and daughter he leaves three grandsons to mourn his passing as well as a number of other relatives and many friends.

Cash, Joseph -

Judge Joseph Cash of Bonestell, S. Dak., died July 15. He was a brother of the late Dr W H Cash of Lenox. Keith Cash, a nephew, from Albia and Miss Margaret Meek, a niece, from Leon, attended the funeral services.

Cheese, George Franklin –

George Cheese, 87, retired merchant, died at the Lenox Rest Home Sunday afternoon. He had been in poor health the past year and had been seriously ill since suffering a stroke several days ago.

 

Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon at the Bender Funeral

home, the Rev Willard Morris officiating. Burial was in Lenox cemetery.

OBITUARY

George Franklin Cheese, son of Edward Turley and Mary Jane

Cheese, was born in Alexis, Ill., Jan 27, 1868. He was left an orphan

when he was 7 years old and was brought up by relatives.  He attended school in Illinois. When he was 23 years old, he moved to the vicinity of Lenox and lived with his older brother, Charles.

 

On March 21, 1894 he was united in marriage with Sarah Leila Hall of Lenox. To this union were born three daughters.

 

For over sixty years Mr Cheese was active in the business life

of the community. For most of this time he operated his own

general store. He was very active in the  Lenox Presbyterian

church all of his life here, and associated with many civic and

community affairs. He loved outdoor sports and was known

by all of his friends as an ardent hunter and fisherman.

 

Mrs Cheese preceded her husband in death on Nov 11, 1943.

Mr Cheese remained in his own home for several years and then lived with his daughter in Lenox for four years, until he was placed under nursing care in the Lenox Rest Home for the past year. He died there after a short illness July 24, 1955.

 

Three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. He leaves his brother, John L Cheese, of Evanston, Wyo.; three daughters: Thelma (Mrs Harold E Davidson) of Clarinda; Helen (Mrs J G Leckliter) of Lenox; and Leila (Mrs George W. Guidinger) of Evanston, Ill. He also

leaves six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many

friends in Lenox and vicinity.

Creveling, Ethel -

Mrs Ethel Creveling passed away at the Municipal hospital, Clarinda, June 28. Funeral services were July l at Walker Funeral Home, Clarinda with burial in Conway cemetery.

 

Mrs Creveling had been making her home with her daughter,

Mrs Charlie O Brown since the death of her husband. She had

lived at Clarinda recently but was formerly of the Sharpsburg

community.

 

Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs Brown of Lenox; Mrs W R

Stapleton of Council Bluffs; Mrs Cunningham of New York City and three sons, Alex and Sidney of Clarinda and Arthur of Imperial, Neb.

Dunn, Philip –

Mrs Carrie Magrath received word of the death of her nephew,

Lt Philip Dunn, 43, of Amarillo, Tex. He died of a heart attack

Saturday and was to be buried Thursday, June 9, at Portland, Ore. His mother, Cora Magrath, and his wile survive.

Edwards, Anna Edwards –

Mrs. Anna Edwards, 81, died at her home in Creston, Saturday at 10:00 am.  The body was brought to the Bender Funeral Home in Lenox.

 

Mrs. Edwards lived in Lenox until 15 years ago when she moved to Kent, then to Creston.

 

Funeral services were Monday at Bender Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery.

OBITUARY

Anna Edwards, daughter of Alick and Nancy Edwards was born July 28, 1874 at Quincy, Ill.  She passed away July 9, 1955 at her home in Creston, Ia.

 

In young womanhood she moved with her family to this vicinity where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Eastern Star, The Royal Neighbors and the Rebekahs.

 

June 22, 1903, she was united m marriage to John Edwards who preceded her in death. To this union three children were born: Mrs Rolland C Buxton and Mrs Harry W Miller of Lenox and Harry J Edwards of Des Moines.

 

She is survived by her children; one sister, Emma Hurley and two brothers, Joseph and Harry, all of Lenox; 3 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law; two cousins and a host of relatives and friends.

George, Hiram –

George Hiram, retired farmer, 79, died at 8:30 this morning.  He had been ill a few days.  Survivors:  His wife, Nellie, 1 daughter, Mrs. Vira Calder of Springfield, Mo., 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

George, Hiram –

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 29, for Hiram George who died May 26. Ministers Chas Colyn and H D Butts conducted the service at Bender Funeral Home. Burial was in Walnut Grove cemetery, Corning.

OBITUARY

Hiram George, son of William and Nettie George, was born on

a farm in Mercer Township, March 13, 1876. He lived there most of his life on a farm, except for 3 years when he lived in the state of Missouri. He returned to Iowa in 1943 and moved to Lenox. He passed away at his home at the age of 79 years, 2 months, 13 days.

 

He was married to Nettie Rodman in 1906 at her mother's home in Carbon, la. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and one brother who died at the age of 6 months.

 

He leaves to mourn his death, his wife and daughter, Mrs Vira Calder and her husband, of Springfield, Mo., and two grandchildren,

Maryann Holmes of Kansas City and Ralph Calder in the navy at San Diego, Calif.; two great grandchildren and many friends and neighbors.

Green, Ralph U -

Ralph U Green, son of John and Sarah Green, died Wednesday night in Greeley, Colo. The body was returned to Clearfield to the J R Crew Funeral Home Friday. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p m at the Methodist church. Mr Green was born 83 years ago in Taylor

County of which he was a life long resident. Only the past several

years has he lived in the home of a cousin, Harry E Green in Greeley. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Laura.

Haering, John J. -

John Haering, 88, died Sunday at 9:30 a. m. at the Rosary Hospital

in Corning. He was born in Illinois, but had lived on a farm near Lenox most of his life.

 

Funeral services were Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the Christian

church at Lenox with the Rev Ray Nixon, Mr Haering's grandson, officiating. Burial in the Lenox cemetery.

OBITUARY

John J Haering was born to Samuel and Barbara Haering at

Savannah, Ill., on July 12, 1867.  He died July 31, 1955 at Rosary

Hospital, Corning, la. During a three year illness he was cared

for by his son in their home.

 

He was confirmed in the Lutheran Church at the age of 14 years.

 

He moved with his parents to Iowa in 1883 at the age of 16.

He resided west of Lenox where he was engaged in farming and

stock feeding.

 

He was married to Annis Hodges May 5, 1896. They were parents of four children: Clarence, Edith, Nixon, Alice Preston, all of Lenox and Helen deceased. There are seven grandchildren and fourteen great

grandchildren. Four grandchildren have been named for their

beloved grandfather.

 

He leaves this family, as well as a brother, Samuel Haering

and a sister, Mrs Pauline Paymal.  Also a host of other relatives,

neighbors and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Albert

and four sisters, Katherine Wurster, Carrie Gustafson, Elizabeth

Olson and Mary Boltinghouse.  His daughter, Helen, passed away in 1915, and his wife in 1950.

Hall, Ira A. –

Ira A. Hall, 83, a former Lenox business man, died at 11:15 a m Saturday, July 30 at a Des Moines nursing home. He had

suffered a stroke several months ago and had been in the Methodist

hospital and nursing home at Des Moines since that time.

 

Funeral services were at 10 a m Monday at Bender Funeral

home with burial at Lenox cemetery.

OBITUARY

Ira A Hall, son of Arran Lewis Hall and Elizabeth Jane Hall, was born at Zanesville, Ohio, August 7, 1872 and passed this life July 30, 1955 in Des Moines at the age of 83 years.

 

He was married to Grace Maulsey at Des Moines in March, 1903. They made their home in Lenox until about 1914 when they moved to Des Moines where he worked as a salesman. His wife preceded him in death Dec 25, 1940.

 

Mr Hall was a man of high ideals, always striving, to practice

the Golden Rule which Jesus embodied in his teachings. He was also an ardent hunter and sportsman.

 

He leaves to mourn his passing two sisters, Mrs Martha Graham

of Lenox, Mrs Mary Taylor of Des Moines; 5 nieces and one nephew.

Hettinger, Elsie Mae Leonard -

Elsie Mae Leonard was born  at Blairstown, la., April 6, 1891 and died at The Rosary Hospital in Corning June 2 at the age of 64 years.

 

On March 10, 1908 she was married to Roscoe F Hettinger at Marengo, Iowa. To this union were born six sons and one daughter. The family lived in the Blairstown community until 1925. The family then moved to Eldorado Springs, Mo. The parents returned to Blairstown in 1949.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband in September 1953, a son when sixteen and one son in his infancy. Surviving members of the family are the daughter Mrs Harriett Talbot of Big Springs. Texas.; the four sons, John of Lenox: Carl of Prescott: Harold of Omaha, and

Eldo of Dunsmier. Calif. Eight .grandchildren; one sister, Mrs

Tom Adams of Chelsea, la., also survives. Numerous other relatives

and a multitude of friends also mourn her passing.

 

Mrs Hettinger became a member of the Salem congregation of the Church of the Brethren near Lenox, some ten years ago and was a much loved person in the community.

 

The funeral service was held at the Dewey Funeral Home in

Blairstown Sunday afternoon with Rev H R Stover of the Salem

church in charge. The Old Rugged Cross and Will the Circle Be Unbroken were sung by Rev and Mrs A R Schram. Burial

was in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Kale, Charles -

Charles Kale, 69, of Truro, la., died Monday in an Osceola hospital.

Funeral services were to be Wednesday at Truro.  Survivors  include his wife, the former Irba Huff, who is well known in Lenox.

Mr.Kale was to the grocery business in Truro for 43 years.

Mrs Vera Hufnagel of Lenox had word Saturday evening that

her father Floyd King, had been seriously injured in a fall at his home in Oskaloosa, Kan. He died Saturday night before she arrived. Funeral services were Wednesday at 10 a. m., at Oskaloosa, Kan. Burial at Oskaloosa.

Layne, Mary Catherine Wilkin -

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 22, for Mrs Mary Layne, 96 years old, who passed away at her home Thursday night. Rev Willard Morris officiated at the services from Bender Funeral Home. Burial was in Lenox cemetery.  Mrs Layne's son and daughter

from Albuquerque, N. M., had been here several days assisting

Miss Verlee in caring for her.

OBITUARY

Mary Catherine Layne, daughter of Hugh and Hanna Wilkin, was born in Washington County, la., Dec 20, 1858. As a child she

united with the United Presbyterian church, and remained a

faithful member throughout her life.

 

She was married to Frank T. Layne on Dec 24, 1880. To this

marriage seven children were born, three of whom are now

living. Her husband preceded her in death in 1910. She was a

resident of Lenox, la., for 56 years, and passed, away at her home here May 19, 1955 at the age of 96 years, 4 months and 29 days.

 

She leaves to mourn her passing, the three children, Frank Layne and Mrs Clyde Taylor, both, of Albuquerque, N. M.; and Verlee Layne, Lenox, with whom she made her home. She also leaves four grandchildren, six great grandchildren; her brother, Frank Wilkin of Oakland, Calif.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

McPherren, George C.-

George McPherren, 72. died at the Clarinda hospital Saturday

at 8:30 p. m. He was a resident of the Sharpsburg and Guss

communities. Survivors are his wife, Laura, 2 brothers 1 sister,

and a sister-in-law, Mrs Charlie Reed of Lenox.

 

Funeral services were Monday at 2 p. m., from the Lines Funeral

Home in Corning. Interment in the Prairie Rose cemetery southwest of Corning.

 

Mrs Reed, Mr and Mrs Vertis Reeder were among those from

here attending the servlce.

McPherren, George C.-

George C McPherren, son of John and Maggie McPherren was born Jan 15, 1882 in Quincy Township, Adams County, Iowa, and passed away July 9, 1955 at Clarinda, Iowa. He was one of a family of ten children.

 

When about one year of age he moved with his parents to a farm two miles south of Brooks, Iowa. The family moved to Taylor

County in 1900 where he resided until his death. He became a member of the Presbyterian Church.

 

He was married to Hazel Bell Ackels of Geneva, Neb., in 1907,

who preceded him in, death May 18, 1924. In 1932 he married

Laura Mae Reed of Lenox, la.  He is survived by his wife Laura; one sister Aura, brothers Ralph, Luther and Donald. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Guy, sisters Lena, Lottie, Maude and Jessie.

Mezger, Adela -

Mrs Adela Mezger, 57, died Monday at 8:30 p. m., at the Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services are Thursday from the Crosby-Kunold Mortuary in Omaha. Burial in West Lawn cemetery there.

 

Her daughter, Mrs Roger W. Boulden of Lenox had spent the

past week with her in Omaha. Mrs Mezger had been a visiting

nurse for 25 years in Omaha. The past few years she had worked with crippled children and with polio patients.

 

Survivors: her husband, Rudy Mezger; i son Robert Hammang,

of Omaha; 1 daughter, Mrs Roger W Boulden of Lenox and 3 grandsons.

Page, George -

George Page, 54, died at 8:30 Saturday morning at the Trinity

Lutheran hospital in Kansas City, Mo. A former resident of

Lenox, he was farming near Otttawa, Kan.

 

Funeral services were Tuesday at Ottawa with burial there.

 

Survivors include three sons, Harlan and Keith of Kansas City and Jack Leckliter of Lenox; a daughter Norma, and 8 grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death.

 

Attending services from here were Mr and Mrs Glen Leckliter

Jack, Mr and Mrs Leo Hale.

Rascher, William –

A double service was held at the Methodist church in Sharpsburg

Wednesday, June 22 for Charles Welch and William Rascher, brothers-in-law.

 

William Rascher, son of Charles Frederick and Lena Rascher was born in Taylor County, la., Feb 28, 1887 and died at his home in New Market, la., after a lingering illness at the ago of 68 years, 3 months

and 19 days.

 

He was married to Hazel Johnson at the home of Charley Welch in 1913. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nov. 13, 1921, his parents, 5 sisters and one brother.  Left to mourn are his 3 sisters, Lottie Chitty of Sharpsburg, Minnie Welch and Anna Rascher of Gravity and one brother Fred of Nodaway, as well as nieces and nephews and a host of friends.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  Burial in Gravity Cemetery.

Reynolds, Maud Anna Miller -

The funeral of Mrs Claude Reynolds was held Saturday afternoon

at the Methodist church with burial in the Lenox cemetery. Rev Harold Butts officiated.  Members of the American Legion Auxiliary attended in a body, honoring her as a past president and active worker. Mrs Reynolds passed away at her home early Thursday morning.

OBITUARY

Maud Anna Reynolds, daughter of Margaret Jane and George M. Miller, was born in DeWJtt County, Ill., June 28, 1891, and passed away at her home in Lenox May 26, 1955. When she was four years of age her mother died and she was taken into the home of her aunt

Mrs John Bird, where she was reared with loving care and remained until her marriage.

 

She received her education in the schools of DeWitt County and the State Normal University at Normal, Ill., after which she taught in the rural schools of DeWitt county for several years.

 

At an early age she joined the Birkbeck Methodist Church, where she was an active worker in both Church and Sunday school.

 

January 21, 1920 she was united in marriage to Claude Reynolds.

She then came with her husband to Lenox which has since been her home, with the exception of four years spent in the Clearfield and Calvary neighborhoods. She was the mother of two children, Nina

Lucille (Mrs George) Young and George Reynolds, both of Lenox.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Miner M Miller and Otto Earl Miller.

 

She was a member of the Lenox Methodist Church where she attended services as long as she was able. She was a charter

member of the Auxiliary Unit of Parkinson Post No. 250 of which

she was past unit president and held other offices. She was also a member of The Harmony Reading Circle.

 

She is survived by her husband, her two children, a son-in-law, George Young, a daughter-in-law, Ruth, Reynolds, five grandchildren, one sister, Mrs James Edwards of Argenta, Ill.;

one brother, Arthur.D Miller of Cedar Falls, la.; two cousins,

Mrs Ira Miller and Mrs Orin Case, both of Clinton, Ill., with

whom she grew up, besides several other nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Scott, Mary Agnes Trost -

Mrs Mary Scott, died at 12:45 p. m. Monday at the Lenox Rest Home. Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon, July 13, at the Christian church with the minister, Rev Cecil Simonton officiating. Burial was in Fairview cemetery.

OBITUARY

Mary Agnes Scott, daughter of Mr and Mrs Jacob Trost, was born Oct 5, 1873 in Illinois. She passed away July 11, 1955 at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 6 days. She came to Iowa as a small child and with exception of four years in Adair county she lived in or around Lenox all of her life.

 

She was united in marriage Feb 22, 1893 to Charles R Scott. To this union were born ten children. All survive to mourn the loss except one son Alpha, who with her husband preceded her in death. Her husband died in December, 1932.

 

Mrs Scott united with the Methodist church when in her teens, later in life she united with the Christian church where she has been a loyal and faithful follower.

 

Her health failed two years and a half ago, but her good spirits were kept up by her family and her friends. At the last she was confined to her bed for about six weeks before she very quietly passed on.

 

She leaves to mourn her departure, 9 children: Herbert of

Creston; Robert of Boone; Gladys Baxter of Clearfield Hazel Wells, Seattle; Golda Carey of Neosho, Mo.; Glen of Colorado Springs; Harry of Seattle; Wayne of Bedford and Leona Harding of Lenox; also two sisters, Pauline Nagle and Dora Schmitt, both of Lenox; 15

grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives

and friends.

Shaffer, John Demas -

John Demas Shaffer, son of Frank and Lucinda Shaffer, was born June 6, 1882 in Pratt County, Ill., and passed away May 24, 1955 at his home in NW Clearfield at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 18 days. He moved to Iowa with the family in December, 1903.

 

On June 6, 1909 he was united in marriage to Miss Myrtle M Ethington, daughter of Mr and Mrs Jas Ethington. Clearfield

vicinity has been their home.  Nine children were born to this

union, one son dying in infancy.  Surviving are the four sons, Clyde, Donovan, Gilbert and Delbert of Clearfield; 4 daughters, Mrs R E (Fern) Spurrier of Clearfield; Mrs Meryl (Margaret) Henderson of Lenox; Mrs Harvey (Louise) French of Bedford; Mrs Ralph (Opal)

McMichael of Des Moines.

 

Mr Shaffer was a member of the Methodist church and Modern

Woodman Lodge. He was industrious in his work, a good citizen and neighbor and always devoted to his home.

 

Besides the wife Myrtle and children are 19 grandchildren, 1

great grand child; 1 brother, E E Shaffer of Diagonal, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, five brothers and two sisters.

 

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Clearfield

Thursday at 2 p m., May 26, Rev H Ball officiating. Burial in Clearfield cemetery with M Z Bailey, Merrill Bailey, Russell Schlapia, J B Routh, Dwight England and Ivan Bennett acting as pallbearers.

Wagner, Carrie Clark –

Relatives here received word  that Mrs Carrie Clark Wagner,

77, of Berkeley, Calif., died there May 9. Funeral services were

May 13 with entombment in Sunset View Mausoleum.

 

Mrs Wagner formerly lived in Lenox. Surviving are her husband,

two sons, Horace W and Robert C Clark,  brothers and sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Howard of Oakland, Calif. is a sister.

 

Dr. Childs of Creston is a brother.  Edna Madden, Bernice Childs and Mrs. E O Dunbar are cousins.

Welch, Charles -

A double service was held at the Methodist church in Sharpsburg

Wednesday, June 22 for Charles Welch and William Rascher, brothers-in-law.

 

Charles Welch, son of Arthur and Eliza Welch was born in Adams County, la., March 25, 1884 and died at the Creston hospital June 19, 1955 at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 24 days.

 

Jan 27, 1904 he was married to Minnie Rascher at the home of her parents near Gravity, la.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother.  Left to mourn are his wife Minnie,

two sisters, Mrs Stella French and Mrs Annie Rascher of Nodaway and one brother Chester of Lenox, as well as Anna Rascher who has made her home with, them, and a host of other relatives and friends.

 

He was a loving and kind husband and brother, who will be greatly missed by those who knew him. As a young man he united with the Christian church at Oak Hill. Burial was in the Gravity cemetery.
