Tribute

In the passing away of Chester Warren Preston, at his home in San Bernardino, California, Wednesday, Jan. 11, the writer of this short tribute extends to the bereaved wife and daughters the heartfelt sympathy of one who knew him, and realizes full well the extent of their loss, and the vacancy created which can never be filled—in this world. May the all-wise God quickly obliterate the grief they are now suffering and instill in their minds, hearts and souls the happy thought that "Chettie" is only resting—over there —and that some sweet day he will be with them again.

As a tribute to the memory of C. [hester] W. [arren] Preston, volumes could be written in reference to his life of love, devotion and service to his family and to Humanity; but may we express our respect with a few short words: "He was a MAN among men."
