Lydia Jaqua

The Toledo Chronicle
September 23, 1875

Died - On Sept. 21, 1875, of Scarlet Fever, Lydia, daughter of G. and C. T. Jaqua, aged 7 years, 6 months and 5 days.

About five years ago she was lost in the woods on twelve Mile Creek, and was not found until after 18 hours search. She thus become somewhat prominent, especially in the immediate neighborhood, in which she lived and had many friends - more than usual for a child of her age- who now mourn her untimely death. But, though lost to her earthly friends she is safe in the arms of Him who said "Suffer little children to come unto me."
