Sarah Janet (Nettie) Young and Clint Sayles

On September 21, at 7 p.m. at the beautiful country home of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Young occurred the marriage of their daughter, Sarah Janett(Nettie), to A.C. Sayles, of Cedar Rapids. It was a quiet wedding, onlyrelatives and a few friends being present. The guests were met at thedoor by the bride and groom, who, at the appointed hour, took theirplaces under an arch beautifully decorated with smilax and sweet peas,and the ceremony was performed by Rev. S.T. McKim, the ring servicebeing used. The bride, who perhaps never looked better, was verytastefully dressed in a gown of white wool over taffeta, and carried alarge bouquet of roses. After the ceremony and congratulations a veryinviting supper was served. The bride is one of our best and mostlovable young ladies and will be greatly missed, especially in thechurch and Sunday school work. She was raised in Buckingham. She is true blue. Mr. Sayle is a railway postal clerk on the C.R.I & P. road passing through Traer, and is a man of excellent Christian character. The home will be in Cedar Rapids. Many very handsome presents were received, in addition to a purse of $225. The out of town guests were Miss Boland, Poynette, Wis., cousin of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Sayles, Independence, father and mother of the groom, Ray Sayles, a brother, and little Margaret and Burrel, children of Mr. Sayles, of Cedar Rapids.
