Ames High School Graduates 1878-1990

Where possible the graduates listed here were transcribed from the Ames High Spirit, which is the Ames High yearbook. The yearbooks contain the seniors for that year, most with photo. It is assumed that almost all of the seniors were graduates. In a few instances students in yearbook were not graduates if, for example, they died prior to graduation. The Spirit in early years was a publication containing the seniors in the June issue. The Ames History Museum has placed many of these yearbooks on the Internet Archive (archive.org).

For classes without available yearbooks, the class lists were taken from the 2011 Ames High Alumni Directory published by the Ames High School Alumni Association.

Class data is provided starting with 1878 through 1990, with the years 1879, 1882, 1884, 1891 and 1893 missing.
