Teachers -- Grant No. 6

The names of these teachers and the schools they taught were taken from the minutes of the Grant Township Board of Directors bi monthly meetings. The minutes were found in an old ledger book put out by the state of Iowa just for these meetings. This ledger book was found in a cupboard in the white School House on the grounds of the Sioux County Historical Society in Orange City, IA., with about 6 attendance records books. The teachers were first hired for only three month periods and later they were given one year contracts.
