MISSOURI VALLEY -- Service was held Tuesday morning at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Missouri Valley for Nicholas J. Muell, 84, of Missouri Valley.

Mr. Muell died Sunday at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.

He was born on August 7, 1902 in Panama.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara, who died in 1962. He is survived by sons, Harold and Richard of Missouri Valley, Elmer of Honey Creek; daughters Arlene Holben of Logan and Valma Mahlberg of Defiance. 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery in Panama.
