Jacob Jewel Gann

Jacob Jewel Gann, 21, of Riverside, passed away at his home Oct 14.. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Oct 20 at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Final resting place was Rose Hill Memorial Garden in Missouri Valley.

Jacob was born March 30, 1986 in Seguim, Texas to Jerry and Pamela (Carter) Gann.

Jacob graduated from Logan-Magnolia High School and then attended Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, Mo, and also Hamilton College in Council Bluffs. He was employed at Cargill in Nebraska City and also at Casey's General Store. Jacob enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, golf, baseball, soccer and loved the outdoors. He was a member of Duck's Unlimited, Eagles Club, Boyer Valley Coon Hunters Assn. and the Riverton Volunteer Fire Dept.

Survivors include his mother Pamela Gann-Muell and her husband Steve of Riverton; daughter Lylah of Sidney; step-brother Nick Muell of Phoenix, Ariz., step-grandparents Richard and Mary Muell of Missouri Valley; aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

Jacob is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Gann; paternal grandparents Tom and Dorothy Gann of Council Bluffs; maternal grandparents Dean and LaVance Carter of Council Bluffs, uncle Keith Gann and cousin Randi Boze.

Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home, 310 E. Huron, Missouri Valley, Iowa.

Jacob's stepfather is the son of Richard Muell and Mary Schaben.
