Wm. Bollig Dies Suddenly following a Heart Attack

Funeral services for William J. Bollig, 57, who died suddenly Tuesday will be held at St. Marys Church Saturday at 9 a.m., with the Rev. V. D. Cashman saying the Requiem Mass.

Mr. Bollig died following a heart attack while assisting with threshing operations at the Peter Bombeck farm shortly after noon Tuesday.

He was a veteran of World War 1 and was wounded in action in the Battle of the Aisne Marne on July 19, 1918.

Mr. Billig was born at Portsmouth, Iowa, June 24, 1886. On May 2, 1939 he was married to Mrs. Gertrude Wise, who survives him. Other survivors are his mother, Mrs. Mary Wise Bollig, Danbury, Iowa; four brothers, George Bollig, Charles Bollig, Mapleton, Iowa; and Bernard Bollig, Hollywood, Calif.; two sisters Mrs. Ed Kueny, Van Horn, Iowa and Mrs. John Johnk, Wood River, Oregon.
