BLUM, Lillian J.

Lillian J. Blum 69, died Tuesday at an Omaha hospital after an extended illness.

She was born in Harlan and resided 40 years in Council Bluff. She had resided since January with a daughter in Omaha.

Her husband Martin, died in 1962.

Surviving are three sons, Jim and Terry, both of Council Bluffs, and Duane of Long Beach, Calif,, six daughters, Patricia Dober, with whom she resided , and Linda O'Brien, of Omaha, Maxine Olsen of Council Bluffs, Carolyn Lampe of Long Beach, Calif,. Mary Gregurich of Huntington Beach, Calif, and Joyce Ladermann of Glastonburg, Conn.; brother, Virgil Schmitz of Neola; four sisters, Laura Schmitz of Marshfield, Wis, Naomi Gross of Defiance, Alice Kwapiszeski of Panama and Eileen Schrader of Seattle, Wash.; 23 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home, The Rev. Anton Fischer of Marshville, Wis., a relative of the deceased will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 Thursday at McCurdy's.

BLUM CORRECTIONS:

The name of Carolyn Lappe of Long Beach, Calif, was erroneously spelled in the obituary of her mother. Lillian J. Blum, in Wednesday's Nonpareil. The minister, the Rev. Anton Fischer, who will officiate the services at 11 a.m. at McCurdy Funeral home, is from Marchfield, Wisc. and visitation with the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. at McCurdy's.
