The Cavalry Reunion

Yesterday was the Ninth Cavalry reunion across the river and the affair was concluded last evening with a banquet. Greetings were sent to Col. B. B. BRUGH of Covallis, Ore. The election of officers for the ensuing year: President-Thomas EATON, Chicago. Vice Presidents-Dr. Jesse HAWES, Greeley, Col.; Capt J. O. Avery, Hot Springs, Ark. Surgeon-Dr. N. SONIE Davenport, Chicago. Chaplain-A. W. MCCLURE, Chicago. Secretary-Sam T. LEWIS, Chicago. Treasurer-P. V. FITZPATRICK, Chicago. Bugler-William WINSHIP, Cuba Illinois.

Last Thursday evening the Retail merchants' association held a meeting; the first since the recent picnic given by them at Schuetzen park. "The finances of our society," said Martin SIBERSHEIN this morning, "are solid." "We have over $400 in the treasury," said Paul ANKERSON. Jack KIRK was admitted to membership.
