Class of 1934 Reunion
Five members of the class of 1934 met at the Commons at Mount Ayr High School on May 29, 2004, to celebrate their
70th anniversary and to attend the Mount Ayr High School Alumni Banquet. Those attending were: Lola WILLEY HAILEY, Ruth
MOFFATT ANGUS, Richard SALTZMAN (and wife, Frances) and Margaret EURITT CAMPBELL, all from Mount Ayr, and Franklin MAIN who
was from Peculiar, MO. The group met earlier in that afternoon at Lola HAILEY'S. The reminisced about those 70 years
and the four years spent together at Mount Ayr High School in the 1913 building. The group also met at the Mount Ayr
Health Care Center to bring greetings to a class member, Jesse GILBERT, who was unable to attend the reunion. An
e-mail was received that day from Esther PALMER ADAMS from Strathmore, CA, sending greetings. The group also talked by phone
with Ruth KITSELMAN from Rio Verde, CA. The group was honored following the banquet, as the earliest class in attendance
to graduate from Mount Ayr High. They received an ovation and a box of candy. It was a special day for the Class of 1934.
