Class reunion of 1957
The Mount Ayr Community high school class of 1957 held their 55th reunion Saturday evening, May 6, at Ramsey Farms. Much
visiting and picture taking were enjoyed by those attending. Those attending from out of town were Marilyn CARR and
husband John BESH of Livingston, AL; Garey RICE and wife Mary Ellen of Rapid City, SD; Dorlee CAVENDER of Des Moines; Ann
POTTORFF and husband Marvin HEMBRY of Des Moines; Gayle SICKELS and husband Nathan LAMB (both classmates) of Stigler, OK;
Larry MAIN and wife Fran of Magalia, CA; JoAnn MATTHEWS and husband Carl BARNES of Alleman; Jim HORNE and wife Karen of
Naperville, IL; Byrle POUSH of Venice, CA; Bob MOSBARGER of Granbury, TX; Corwin SMITH and wife of Hewitt, TX, and Ann
DRAKE and husband Rex WALTERS of Beaconsfield. Those from Mount Ayr attending were Dan CUNNING and wife Judy, Melvin
GRAY, Cecil DAVENPORT, Max BUCKNER and wife Joan, JoKaye HUFFMAN SHIELDS and Jane WHEELEN and husband Roland BUCK.
Several met again Sunday morning for breakfast at the American Legion. Plans were made to meet again in September 2014.

1957 Class Reunion

LYDDON and Bill MILLER - Corning, IA; Dorlee CAVENDER - Des Moines, IA; Nate LAMB and Gayle SICKELS LAMB - Stigler, OK;
Beverly OLNEY McCORD - Nixa, MO; Corwin SMITH - Hewitt, TX; Rex and Ann DRAKE WALTER - Beaconsfield, IA; Mr. and Mrs.
Richard WILSON - Lenox, IA; Lee and Shirley COMER BRAND, Jim and Joyce STILL JOHNSON, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil DAVENPORT,
Mr. and Mrs. Dan CUNNING, Max BUCKNER, Melvin GRAY, Ronnie and JoKaye HUFFMAN SHIELDS, all from Mount Ayr. The committee
