Fall Production ~ "It's A Wonderful Life"

The play, made from the Frank Capra movie which has become a holiday television staple, tells the story of a small-town savings and loan officer named George Bailey who begins to wonder if his life really matters after a series of setbacks. Clarence Odbody [played by Daniel Showalter], an angel, is sent to help him understand what a change would come to his community without him. Directed by Shaun Kneip, the play was presented Saturday, November 17 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, November 18 at 2 p.m. in the MACHS auditorium.

Mount Ayr Community high school individual speech contest entires advancing to state speech contest this year included, right picture, from left) Alex Wallance and Allie Knapp. Allie received three division I ratings for her poetry interpretation performance and a division II rating of her storytelling performance at the state contest in Nevada. Alex received a division II rate for his performance in improvisition. MAC high school drama coach is Bethany Knox.
