MAC robotics team places 16th at state tourney
The Mount Ayr Robotics team of Blake Roberts, Cameron Young, Eian Adams and Mitchell Lutrick came away from Hilton Coliseum with a TOP 16 finish in the
robotics tournament the past weekend. Mount Ayr was only one of the five small schools in the field of 64 with Madrid, Northeast Hamilton, Southwest
Valley, and Carroll Keumper being the others.The Raiders started off the day with a great start and kept the momentum going through the tournament
where the team rallied around a software change and a mechanical change to help get an upset win in the second round. On the second day, the Raiders
were not able to get their catapult to successfully complete their challenge, but gave a great effort and kept with it for almost seven hours.
