     The annual debate question was, "Resolved that a Federal Department of Education Should be Established, With a Secretary in thr President's Cabinet."

     Seniors: Gertrude Saltzman, Wilur Lay and Charles Bastow. Juniors: Katherine Liggett, Charles Lesan and Gladys Calhoun. Sophomores: Ruth Robinson, Walter Kirkendall and Clarice Hudson. Freshman: Regina Lesan, Elizabeth Fuller and Melva Newton.

     The Freshman will have the honor of receiving the cup given annually for their [clipped].

     The girls' Glee Club with the help of the boys' Glee Club presented teh operetta, "Captain Cross Bones."

     The boys; Glee Club presented a mid-year musicale. The program follows:

     The Girls' Sextette made their first appearance in the fall of 1927 and have furnished music for various occasions throughout the school year. High honors were made by them at the Leon Music Contest when they sang:

      Through the courtesy of the Record-News, in its columns, the happenings at school are published weekly. The contributions of various members of the student body, through-out the entire year, have aided in making the school page successful, and the active interest of the students in the work has helped to promote the interests of journalism in the High School. At intervals, during the year, the different classes have taken charge of a weeks' news and have given their views of the school work.
