OBITUARY ~ HARRY WOOD

Word was received early Tuesday morning that Harry Wood had passed away at the home of his father, L. D. Wood, who lives about five miles southeast of Lenox. The deceased has made his home in Nebraska for the past three years. He brought his brother Frank, who was recovering from an attack of typhoid fever, home before Christmas and later was himself stricken with the same disease which resulted fatally.

Mr. Wood was well known to the Taylor county people as almost his whole life has been spent in Union and Taylor counties. About three years ago he settled on a homestead near Scott's Bluffs, Neb. and had he lived another year would have been able to prove up on his land. He was forty years of age at the time of his death and leaves parents and seven brothers and sisters to mourn his seemingly untimely death. His is the first death in a family of eight children. His brother George, of Scott's Bluffs, Neb, and uncles, Will Wood, of Prescott, & Harry Smock, of Creston are here to attend the funeral which will be held tomorrow at 11 a. m. at the home of his father and interment in the Clearfield cemetery. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved family.
