She was united in marriage to A. J. Van SCOYK, March 27, 1883 and to this union were born seven children, three sons and four daughters.

Her husband and two children, Celia Gladys and Mrs. Bernice Louise KING preceded her in death several years ago. The five remaining children are Earl A. Van SCOYK of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Nellie M. LONG of Sandyville [IA], Mrs. Minnie E. GRANTOFF (sic, should be GRAUTOPF) of Chicago, ILL, John E. Van SCOYK of Sandyville and A. Marshall Van SCOYK of Carlisle.

She is also survived by her aged mother, with whom she has shared her home for a number of years, and five brothers, Isam, Jim of Carlisle, W. I. of Rockwell City, G. R. of Eagle Butte, S. D. and H. B. of Longview, Wash. Also thirteen grandchildren.

Mrs. Van SCOYK united with the Methordist church during the early part of 1883, and she has lived a faithful Christian life of quiet example and steadfast faith. She has been a faithful and devoted mother always deeply concerned about the welfare of her family and loved ones.

Here funeral was held Saturday at 11 a. m. at the Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. H. M. COOPER and the body was laid to rest in the family lot in the Carlisle cemetery.
