OBITUARY - FIDELIA "MAE" YOUNG

Fidelia Mae YOUNG was born July 11, 1916 at Green county, Iowa to Edmond and Blanche Mae YOUNG.

Mae went to school and lived at the Glenwood State school until adulthood. She lived at Creston and Oskaloosa, Iowa before moving to Mount Ayr several years ago. The staff and residents at the Health Care Center in Mount Ayr were her extended family and she appreciated their love. Mae was associated with the Assembly of God Church.

Mae passed away at the Health Care Center in Mount Ayr on March 28, 2001.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Harold and Thomas YOUNG.

Mae is survived by four nieces: Alberta CORDELL and her husband Doyle of Athelstan, Iowa, Darlene ADAMS of Denver, Colorado, Mary Ann GOFF of Afton, Iowa and Shirley GOFF of Lenox, Iowa; two nephews, Ralph GOFF of Creston, Iowa and Fred YOUNG, Sr. of California.

Graveside services were held Saturday, March 31, 2001 at Graceland Cemetery Chapel, Creston with Reverend Jim McCUTCHAN officiating.

Mae was laid to rest in the Graceland Cemetery, Creston. Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home of Mount Ayr was in charge of the arrangements.
