OBITUARY - EFFIE MAY REYNOLDS WRIGHT

Effie May REYNOLDS, daughter of Charlie and Ella MERRITT REYNOLDS, was born Oct. 19, 1884, near Kellerton, Iowa, and departed this life on July 2, 1980, in Mission, Texas, at the age of 95 years, eight months and 13 days.

On June 12, 1907, she married Jesse V. WRIGHT, a Baptist minister, and they gave their lives devotedly to the ministry until his retirement.

To this union were born three daughters, (Mrs. Melvin) Lila MANNING of West Des Moines; (Mrs. Orval) Floy ELKINS of Mission, Texas;and Minnie, who died in infancy.

Mrs. WRIGHT was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, one brother, her husband, an infant daughter, and one grandson.

Survivors include the two daughters and their husbands, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at Mount Ayr's First Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Norman NOBLE. Burial was in Mount Ayr Rose Hill Cemetery. Music was by Mrs. Keith SACKETT, organist, and Mrs. Francis WILLIS, vocalist.

Pallbearers were Lloyd ANGUS, Duane TRIGGS, Richard PRENTIS, Clifford FORCE, Lloyd STEPHENS and Dale SCHLAPIA. Honorary pallbearers were Amos LEE, Harry TRIMBLE, Charles TRIMBLE and Jamie MEADOWS. Varner-Watson service was in charge.
