OBITUARY ~ HAZEL HOOLLUMS

Hazel Beatrice (TURPIN) WOOLLUMS passed away on Octber 13, 2007 in San Diego, California. Hazel, daughter of Otha and Ethel TURPIN, was born in Kellerton, Iowa where she attended school, graduating in 1930.

She earned her teaching certificate and taught school in Ringgold county where she met and married Robert W. WOOLLUMS of Ellston, Iowa in 1933. They spent the early years of their union in Ringgold county where their three children were born. In 1944 the family moved to Madison county, Iowa. In 1953 the relocated to San Diego, California.

Returning to Mount Ayr in 1970, Robert famred and Hazel continued her lifelong passion for gardening and plants.

She was predeceased by their son, William (Bill); daughter-in-law, Mitzi; granddaughter, Jodane; grandson, Donald FULLER and son-in-law, Robert (Bob) FULLER. Hazel is survived by her husband of nearly 74 years; daughters, Janet Kay (FULLER) and Alice Ann (EVANS); son-in-law, Richard EVANS; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a nephew; his family as well as many cousins and friends.

She brightened her corner of the world and memories of her will be cherished forever.
