OBITUARY - FANNIE LARRINE (SHANER) WION

Fannie Larrine WION, daughter of Elsie Ann (SHOCKLEY) SHANER and Miles Arthur SHANER, was born Feb. 6, 1902, in Kellerton, Iowa. She passed away Feb. 1, 1979 at the Decatur county Hospital in Leon at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 26 days.

On Aug. 22, 1918, she was united in marriage with Albert WION. Four sons and four daughters blessed this union.

Mrs. WION was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She gave unselfishly of her time and energy as long as her health permitted.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; daughter, Josephine; parents; six brothers and two sisters.

Left to mourn her passing are four sons, Paul of Beaconsfield, Lloyd of Des Moines, Arnold of Waterloo and John of Evansdale; three daughters, Donella GORDON of Des Moines, Rosemary CORLL of Kellerton, and Loretta AMICK of Omaha, Neb.; 21 grandchildren; daughters and sons-in-law; two sisters, Lola KELSO of Ottawa, kan. and Bernice KNEEDLER of DeSoto; other relatives and many friends.

Services were held Sunday, Feb. 4, from the Kellerton United Methodist church, with Rev. Walter ZARR officiating and Stewart-Duerr funeral home in charge. Burial was in Elk Chapel cemetery.
