OBITUARY - ROBERT WILSON, Diagonal

DIAGONAL - Robert James WILSON, 54, of Diagonal, died Thursday morning, March 30, 1989, at his home following a long illness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Church of Diagonal. The Revs. Eydie STEPHENS and Sam FRY will officiate with burial in the Diagonal Cemetery. A family night will be 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Wilson-Watson Funeral Home, Diagonal.

Mr. WILSON was born April 7, 1934, in Kansas City, Mo., to James and Margaret (WATKINS) WILSON. He married Janice ADKISON (sic) and operated a janorital (sic) service. He lived in Diagonal for four years and previously in Mount Ayr and Osceola.

Survivors include his wife, Janice of Diagonal; a son, Michael James WILSON of Creston; two daughters, Debbie Kay BOWER of Camdenton, Mo., and Tina Marie BASS of Carthage, Mo.; six grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin of Kansas City, Mo., and Earl E. WILSON of Raytown, Mo.; and two sisters, Harriet PATAPPI of Washington, D.C., and Betty McCOY of Kansas City, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

OBITUARY - ROBERT JAMES "BOB" WILSON

Robert James WILSON was born April 7, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Margaret Lydia WATKINS WILSON and James Louis WILSON. He died in Diagonal, Iowa, on March 30, 1989.

Bob married Janice ADKISSON on September 17, 1955 in Diagonal, Iowa. he had operated a janitorial service and lived in Missouri, Mount Ayr, Osceola and Diagonal, Iowa.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, and a sister.

He is survived by his wife, Janice, of Diagonal; his children, Michael of Crston and his wife, Kathy, of Murray; Debbie and her husband, Bob BOWER, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Tina and her husband, Duane BASS of Carthage, Missouri; six grandchildren, Brandy and Kyle WILSON, Tosha and Joshua BOWER and Misty and Darren BASS. He is also survived by his brother, Marvin, and his wife, Mary, of Kansas City, Missouri; his brother, Earl, and his wife, Shirley, of Raytown, Missouri; his sister, Betty McCOY of Kansas City, Missouri, and his sister, Harriet, and her husband Paul PATAPPI of Washington, D.C., and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was loved very much and he will be greatly missed. He left behind many good memories and will never be forgotten.

Funeral services were held April 1, 1989, from the United Church of Diagonal at Diagonal, Iowa, conducted by Rev. Eydie STEPHENS and Rev. Samuel FRY. Music was provided by Mrs. Harold TAYLOR, Mrs. Jack TAYLOR and Mrs. Richard TAYLOR.

Casketbearers were Doug WILSON, Robert BOWER, Terry WILSON, Michael WILSON, Bill CAMPBELL and Gordon ADKISSON. Honorary pallbearers were Gary DIETZ, Gary HOWEL, Chris DIETZ and Scott EDWARDS. Burial was in the Diagonal Cemetery at Diagonal, Iowa.

ROBERT WILSON DIES - Diagonal

Robert James WILSON, 54, of Diagonal, passed away Thursday morning, March 30, 1989, at his home following a long illness.

He was born April 7, 1934 in Kansas City Mo., the son of James and Margaret (WATKINS) WILSON. He married Janice ADKISON.

He lived in Mount Ayr and Osceola before moving to Diagonal four years ago. He operated a janitorial service.

Mr. WILSON is survived by his wife, Janice of Diagonal; a son, Michael James WILSON of Creston; two daughters, Debbie Kay BOWER of Camdenton, Mo. and Tina Marie BASS of Carthage, Mo.; six grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin of Kansas City, Mo. and Earl E. WILSON of Raytown, Mo.; and two sisters, Harriet PATAPPI of Washington, D.C. and Betty McCOY of Kansas City, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the United Church of Diagonal with the Revs. Eydie STEPHENS and Sam FRY officiating. Burial was at the Diagonal Cemetery with the Wilson-Watson Funeral Home of Diagonal in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
